great video collin! u da boss:)
I got one little question, I observed that usually when talking about stack sizes in mtt's you refer to the number of blinds as the effective stack, ignoring the M size of it, so I'm curious of the explanation behind, looking to implement this in my game. Thanks!

i really like the fold with the JJ.

Even though it went check check on the turn, i dont see many players betting the turn with their ace, because they are betting into 3 players on a flushdraw board and they are scared when the spade flush comes down. They love to just check call these turns with their Ax hands.

The reason for their line could be, that they dont want to bet fold their Ax hands on the turn so they slow down.

Of course it is very dependant who is your opponent in these spots but my general experience is that you are behind too often to make a profitabel call.

Maybe i´m wrong with my opinion but it is certainly not a "bad" fold fwiw. :)

    #2 Belgianbeer: Thanks!

#3 MrBrillaint: When it comes to preflop shove/fold/call decisions, I think in terms of ante-adjusted big blinds or M, rather than nominal BB. (The exception is certain default ranges, e.g. I have a default range in mind for shoving 10bb UTG post-ante which is very different than the range I have in mind for pre-ante.)

Good Q + appreciate the nice words!

    #5 Comodus14: Thanks!

#4 GustgAMblin: It was a slightly tight/passive line but I definitely agree with your analysis and that he does have AX a lot there. Thanks for the feedback :)

I like the fold HU with KJ. It will also weaken his range to go all in the next time...

#8 Sidderaal: Cool, close spot but I agree we should fold there.

    #9 Lenzer: A chip missing?

    #10 Naidonis: Thanks!

Did u make this up?! ;) Nice final table run! Great explanations!
@ 13:35 K8s Not sure if I "like" this hand if its just based on a "timing tell".
What was ur plan if you didnt hit? Would you have called if he shoved the river?
  • CollinMoshman

#12 Bartmann: Thanks! The K8s hand wasn't just based on a timing tell, but I do think we can weaken his range to some extent as a result of the timing. If I hadn't hit it'd depend a lot on the flop texture and his sizing. If he pots a coordinated flop I've missed, I'd just fold. If he bets 40% on a dry flop, I'd float.

Nice vid, respect for the Mosh! KK, AKs, JJ, etc etc at the final table, did u bribe the dealer?

29:25 what is your calling range in that situation? After latter call with TT, i guess it would be like TT+ AK

    Thank for great video!
By the way i have some more questions to old one: http://ru.pokerstrategy.com/video/28418/
  • CollinMoshman

#17 Harumamburu: I'd probably nit-fold TT with such a high ICM tax, and call JJ+ AK. Glad you enjoyed the vid! And I'll do my best to go back through that older video soon and answer your Qs :)

This is pretty video "How to win MTT" which exactly interesting me a lot :)
That call with TT and read the player in game was awesome I think.
I understood which way you were exactly thinking while you were playing that hand.
I love guys "tired of tournament" and shoving most "good-looking" hands.
I was really surprised that HU player you played with reached this HU. This is extremely interesting how with such game he could have done that? :D
Must see more movies from you as I liked your style of talking about the things that are happening :)
    Thanks again for this video!

Hey there, Collin. Here is one question from Russian community:

01:55 Would you call a shove with a stack shorter than opponent's?
  • iNspiRe

    #23

Hello again, Collin. One more question to you:

21:00 What is the thought process behind betting the flop with OESD? Most of the combinations in opponents range would somehow hit this board, so I think it's better to check behind. Thank you

Wow, i never had a tourney yet, where i get that many premium hands in. Pretty sick, but well played. Love this vid.
