In FL you will often find yourself with a moderately weak hand on the turn that could still be ahead of your opponent's range who is probably not holding an all too strong hand himself. Still the hand is too weak for a value raise, and too strong to fold.
A possible line is therefore to raise the turn with the intention of taking a free showdown. This move is only advisable though if you actually believe your opponent might be capable of folding some better hands.

In general slowplay is only advisable when it will net you a larger profit than straight forward play would bring you. A lot of players lose a lot of value through fancy slow play, when simply betting it through would have actually earned them more.
