HollyMichelle has stirred up an idea of hosting a weekly tournament on Full Tilt Poker exclusively for PokerStrategists. Meanwhile, jbpatzer started a blog this week which has quickly gained numerous fans. Read on to find out more.

Hot Poker Thread of the Week
hollymichelle is the mastermind behind a recent idea of organizing a weekly tournament on Full Tilt Poker which would be open exclusively to PokerStrategy.com community members. After gaining approval of FTP, all that this project needed to come to life was our community's support.
With both requirements met, the first tournament is now scheduled to be held on Sunday, July 4. If you wish to play against other community members and join table talk you usually won't find in other tournaments, then don't hesitate to join this event and help it grow!

jbpatzer is a 44 years old maths profesor at a British University. In between raising three kids and a full time job, he also finds time to play poker. After reading through other community members' blogs, he decided to give us an insight into his world by starting his own blog.
Will it be an idea he will come to regret? If he likes to write and keep regular updates, then not. The reason for this is that he quickly attracted a lot of interest from our community. With the combination of poker-related posts, rants about his kids and humorous reports on activities at the university, this blog offers an interesting read to anyone with spare time on their hands.

Numerous new members have joined our community this week. While many of them have just started playing poker with our free $50 starting capital, some of them are already experienced players who have now come here to polish their skills and gain new friendships. Here are some of the newest members:

Performances of the Week
After crowning himself the New Zealand champion, chenny8888 has now cashed in WSOP Event #42. It took quads and a whole lotta trouble to send him to the rails on Day 2 of the event, which was good enough to earn him his first WSOP cash for $5,751.
With all the successes our members have had and are yet to obtain, we have decided to open a new thread: English Community - Honours Board. This new Honours Board will solely highlight top-level ITM cashes, tournament wins & other achievements.
This week was also marked by many notable results in the online poker realm by our community members. Here are some of them:
- seriousthreat made his first real money win
- flex213 finished 3rd in a $10 super stack tourney to scoop $1,700
- pericas1991 won his first 180 men $2.2 buy-in tourney for $108
- purplefizz made her first contribution of $475 to our One Million in a year goal

Another successful week is behind us, as we have added a couple more thousand dollars to our overall winnings. We are currently just below $580k mark and may as well breach it next week!
