New: Monthly Status System

In June, PokerStrategy.com switches its status system to a simple monthly cycle. Plus: Gold and Platinum Status 37% / 16% easier to reach!

In the new system, you gather StrategyPoints on a monthly basis. As soon as you reach enough points for a status, you do not just hold it for this month, but also for the coming month.

Example: Between May 1 and 15, you earn 100 StrategyPoints. You will be a Silver member until at least June 30. Remember that to keep your status in July, you would need to again earn 100 points in June.

FAQ

Why did we change the system?
• The old system was complicated and raised a lot of questions, especially with beginners.
• The new system is simple – you always know how much time you have to earn which amount of points.
• We wanted to make it a little easier to reach Gold and Platinum status.

How can I check my status?

Starting at the beginning of June, there will be a status bar on the homepage that gives you full information about your status. Here you will find total StrategyPoints, Lifetime StrategyPoints and the amount of StrategyPoints you've accrued from exactly one month and exactly one year. You will also be able to see easily how many StrategyPoints you have to collect to get a higher status.

When does the new system go into effect?
• The new system goes into effect from June onwards.
• All StrategyPoints earned in May will decide which status you have in June.
• Example: If you earn 2,500 StrategyPoints in May, you will be Gold in May (old system). In June, you would become Platinum, as you earned 2,500 StrategyPoints in the month before (new system).

Do StrategyPoints expire?
The lifetime StrategyPoints necessary for become a Black Member never expire. However, your current StrategyPoints (which determines your current status) will be reset on the first of each month.

What changed from the old status system?
Gold status went from 800 StrategyPoints to 500 StrategyPoints. Platinum status went from 3,000 StrategyPoints to 2,500 StrategyPoints. The previous system calculated your StrategyPoints based on the most StrategyPoints you earned during 28 consecutive days over a 42 day period. With the new system calculating your StrategyPoints on a month-to-month basis, it will be a lot easier to know where you stand.
