Our coach asaban started a very interesting discussion in our multi-table tournament forum recently, which has really got everyone talking. He wanted to know how much equity you would need in this unique situation:
On the first hand of a tournament everyone folds up to your final opponent, who goes all-in with 250 big blinds, and then accidentally exposes their cards for you to see, so you know exactly how much equity you have if you called. In this tournament you estimate you are in the top 10% of the field.
How much equity do you need to call for 250 big blinds in this situation? What are the key factors informing your decision?

13 big blinds at the final table
andiofwbafc found pocket jacks when he had 13 big blinds left at a final table. Should he be making a small raise here to induce action, or is he better off just shoving?
The general consensus was that when you have less than 15 big blinds, you are much better off shoving in these spots, especially if you are quite inexperienced. Do you agree? Let us know.
