Interview with $10,000 Tell-a-Friend Raffle Winner Marduk44
Last week we had the first of two live $25,000 prize draws in our $50,000 Tell-a-Friend Raffle. We caught up with Marduk44 of Poland, who not only won the $10,000 first prize he also won an additional $100 for another ticket.

"I thought it was a joke, I was shocked"
PokerStrategy.com: Congratulations on your big win. How long have to been referring people to PokerStrategy.com?
marduk44: Since 2009, I’ve referred more than 10,000 new people. It’s not much, but I hope it will be more. This raffle is great because it gives us a chance to win big, more than just what you get for referring friends, I hope we have more promotions like this.
PokerStrategy.com: We think 10,000 referrals is huge. What is your method for referring friends to the site?
marduk44: Only by creating my own websites. I don’t buy ads. My only costs are hosting, paying for domains and my own time of course.
PokerStrategy.com: What advice would you give to people who want to get more referrals?
marduk44: Very good question, everybody has to think on their own. You definitely need imagination and an original idea. I create new sites all the time. It’s important that they are innovative and have a number of guests right after indexing the page in the search engine.

PokerStrategy.com: How did it feel to win both the $10,000 and an additional $100?
marduk44: Amazing, I’ve never felt so great before. It’s hard to describe, especially as someone who has never won such amount of money before.
The way I found out about the win was quite original. I look at my Tell-a-Friend statistics every day and on this particular day at one point my eye landed on the number $10,100 in green. I thought it was a joke at first I was so shocked.
PokerStrategy.com: What is it about PokerStrategy.com that you tell people to get them to join?
marduk44: I have sites in different languages and unfortunately some of them are poorly translated, so my guests know only that this is a site where they can learn the basics of poker, will get free money to start and can choose a poker room. I think that is all a new player needs to know. They just need to click the banner, even if it’s just out curiosity.
PokerStrategy.com: The previous raffle winner, szkodnick, was also from Poland, are you guys just luckier than the rest of us?
marduk44: Heh, yes incredibly lucky. Our wins proved the raffle was objective because the Polish PokerStrategy.com community is not that big compared to others. I say this because some people come to sites like PokerStrategy.com with a lot of skepticism when it comes to free promotions like this.
