Poker quiz - are you a born prop bettor?
Phil Neuville made his first prop bet in his seventies, so we can guess he wasn't a huge fan of this motivational method before that. How about you, are you a prop bettor?
Poker motivation method - Why prop bets are good for you

Some poker players - like Tom Dwan, Antonio Esfandiari or Bill Perkins are huge admirers of prop betting, others do it from time to time and for others it's just gambling and a waste of time.
It's debatable that prop bets about swimming in a pool full of sharks or those which involved peeing under the poker table are reasonable, but a prop bet which can motivate someone a little more to do something important for him is completely different.
Good prop bets for example can be about regular fitness training, healthy diet, reading books or learning something new.
They can also be poker related! One can bet about volume (play x hands/tournaments per month), learning curve (watching x poker videos per month) or EV (expected value) results over a big sample.
What are the positives of a prop bet?
- higher levels of motivation
- the fun factor
- extra money for a winning a bet
- doing something good for the community
