Which mobile apps are the best to play online poker on in 2024?

Check out our guide to the poker networks that are softest and best optimised for playing on your smartphone in 2024.

We featured KKPoker first because we think this site is the best-kept secret in poker. KKPoker is the first mobile-only online poker room.

This means that the software is optimised for mobile users, rather than trying to make the existing desktop client work on a smaller screen.

KKPoker has unique features you don't see elsewhere including GPS and IPS protection ensuring that collusion is impossible.

The biggest selling factor, however, is that KKPoker is the softest network out there. It has a user base of mainly Asian players, meaning the games are the softest and busiest in the daytime in Europe.

Add to that 50% rakeback and a 100% up to $500 bonus, and we think KKPoker should be the first choice for any mobile poker players in 2024.

While the World Poker Tour brand is well established, WPT Global is the new kid on the block in online poker.

Their desktop software is being worked on all the time, but their mobile software is already well optimised. This is in part because you can only play one table at a time currently on their mobile app.

It will take a while but we think that WPT Global is poised to become one of the biggest sites in online poker. Right now, however, their traffic is low but on the plus side the games are very soft.

If the question was 'what is the best online poker site?' then the answer is GGPoker. They are the market leader for a reason, with their big prize pools and unique game features.

However, the question today is what is the best mobile poker app? GGPoker is still very good in particular with its game features and high traffic, as well as a portrait-optimised table.

There are perhaps too many features. Mobile users prefer simplicity and GGPoker have tried to bring everything from their desktop to mobile, which can be overwhelming.

If you like interactive game features and don't mind tougher games, GGPoker is a great mobile option.

The other giant operator in online poker is PokerStars, who are one of the most trusted names in the game in 2024.

PokerStars were ahead of the curve where mobile is concerned and most of their players join the tables on a smartphone these days. As such, they manage to get the balance of offering high traffic and a well optimised mobile experience right.

The games are tougher at Stars, however, as there are a lot of good regulars. The PokerStars app is simpler than GGPoker, but does not boast anywhere near the same fun game features.

Pros Cons
Well optimised for mobile Lots of tough regulars
Lots of traffic Not many fun game features
Reliable software
Lots of Spin & Go traffic and big multipliers

Unibet

Unibet is a smaller, softer, European-facing site but on the negative side, they have much lower traffic than GGPoker or PokerStars.

Their version of Spin & Go, known as HexaPro, is very well optimised for mobile. HexaPro started as a mobile-only offering at a partner skin on the Unibet network.

Of all the global poker rooms, Unibet manages to replicate the desktop experience for mobile users the best. This is in part because they have a simpler desktop interface with fewer games than their competitors. But from a mobile perspective, less is more.

Traffic is low so there are some periods where games take a while to fill up, but that is made up for by being generally softer.
