WSOP Event #20: Erik Seidel At The Final Table

The $1,500 Pot Limit Hold'em event attracted 633 players which
generated a prize pool of $864,045. The top 63 players were going to
end in the money, with the first place finisher receiving $194,434. Day
1 proved long enough to burst the bubble and whittle the field down to
just 61 players.

Many pros were still in the tournament, including Mark Seif, Joe Sebok,
Erik Seidel, Kathy Liebert and others. Mike Sexton was also still
alive, but not for long. On the flop of , Sexton pushed all-in for his last 13,000 and Jason Dewitt called. Sexton turned over and Dewitt showed The turn came and with the on the river, Sexton was out and Dewitt's stack rose above 200,000 in chips.

Roland De Wolfe also had to pack his bags not long into the day. He shoved his last 16,900 with and Petteri Pirinen called with . The board came and De Wolfe had to leave his seat, meanwhile Pirinen climbed up to 120,000 in chips.

The day came to an end with the final table bubble burst. Phil Collins
raised to 26,000, Erik Seidel (pictured left) re-raised to 75,000, Collins moved all-in
and Seidel called. Collins turned over while Seidel revealed . The board came and Collins was eliminated in 10th place for which he earned $13,332.

With the final table set, Seidel is the only player left in the
tournament who has won a bracelet. As for the other eight players, only
the current chip leader John-Paul Kelly has a WSOP final table
appearance (9th place in the 2008 $2,5000 PLO event).
