New PKR Software Makes Multi-Tabling Possible
PKR redesigned from scratch: Our partner platform is presenting its new software with an enhanced user interface and new features for multi-tablers.
A little over a month ago, we conducted an exclusive PokerStrategy.com interview with Leon Walters, Chief Operations Officer at PKR. He told us that PKR's upcoming software update "will be the single most significant release" the platform has seen, bringing to you "lots of new features".
Since Monday, the update has been available to download. robbiequo, moderator of our PKR forum, has tested the new PKR software and gives you an introduction to the new features here.
New lobby and up to nine tables simultaneously
The first glance at the new software already reveals one of the major changes: The lobby boasts detailed filters, which will help you find the tables of your choice in no time. "There is a live display of every table so that you can immediately see which seats are free. However, the software still lacks a "Preferred Seat" button", robbiequo noticed.
The new multi-tabling allows you to play up to nine tables at the same time. Increasing the number of possible tables from four to nine, players with two monitors will particularly profit from the new multi-tabling overview.
robbiequo recommends all multi-tablers to take some time to get used to the new multi-tabling system. "The table displays keep flashing up, there's a bar indicating the stack size and another one indicating the time - all of this can make you quite nervous when playing up to nine tables".
To avoid a hectic game, you can now choose to see a given table in full screen by hitting specific F-keys. If you want to go back to seeing all tables again, double-clicking will do the trick.
Moreover, your betting options have been improved: More sensible pot sizes are now available and the bet slider has been enhanced.
By clicking on the interface module, which has been embedded in the lower left corner of the tables, the country flag of every player is displayed to you. You therefore no longer have to access the player details for that.
If you choose to play more than one table, you have additional options available: You can, for example, disable avatars so that the seats remain empty. The "multitable view" allows you to have the players in the hand as well as your hole cards permanently displayed at the player's seat. "In this respect, PKR has assimilated to other poker rooms", robbiequo praises the new software.
