EPT cash game stakes reach €2,000/€4,000
In today's Daily Rewind we crown a new WPT World Champion and engage in some €250,000 cash game action in Monte Carlo.

The final event of this year's World Poker Tour came to a glittering conclusion on Sunday after Keven Stammen bested all before him to clinch the $1,350,000 top prize.
Currently ranked as the leading tournament player of 2014 according to the GPI, Stammen overcame a tough final table to lift his first WPT title.
Indeed, after surpassing the likes of Ryan D'Angelo and Tony Dunst, Stammen found himself facing off against Byron Kaverman for the trophy.
With the two players evenly matched in terms of chips, the final battle should have been a drawn out affair. However, within a few hands Stammen took control and with just over an hour gone he clinched the final pot when his 
overcame Kaverman's pocket fours.
Following the final pot Stammen was handed the winner's trophy, a Hublot King Power Unico watch and a pair of gold Monster 24k Headphones as well as his largest ever tournament prize.

The EPT Grand Final's Main Event might be stealing the headlines at the moment, but away from the tournament tables some of the world's best cash game players have been doing their thing.
At the end of last week the likes of Daniel 
Junglemandan Cates, Isaac Haxton and Phil Ivey sat down for a €250,000 buy-in cash game.
Following on from the action which took place in 2013, this year's high stakes game was a somewhat less intense affair and lasted just three hours.
Despite the blinds being set at €500/€1,000, the swings were less dramatic than expected and at the close of play it was Cates who scooped the most profit.
While no more than €100,000 was won during the first game, news has surfaced last night that a €2,000/€4,000 session was underway and will likely continue throughout the week.

While some players will look to their friends or a recognised staking site to raise some poker funds, one player has decided to take his cause to GoFundMe.
Andre Verbrick recently posted a comprehensive, if somewhat hard to believe, account of his poker career to-date with the hope getting enough money to move to Las Vegas.
According to Andre's blub he was an online grinder before Black Friday and since that time he's averaged an $80 per hour win rate playing $3/$5 during 11 trips to Las Vegas.
Despite his online records telling a different story, Andre believes his skills are worth $8,000; an amount he will use to move to Vegas and play $3/$5 cash games.
In return he is willing to give away between 30% and 50% of his weekly winnings. Unfortunately, at the time of writing hasn't received any backing.

With many of the game's top grinders taking part in the EPT Grand Final at the moment, yesterday's online action was left somewhat lacking. When the betting was over it was 'BiatchPeople' who topped the daily leaderboard after scooping $56,795 over the course of 482 hands.
At the other end of the spectrum the "biggest loser of the day" title went to 'toomuchneon' after his 688-hand session left him with an $87,221 deficit. Also failing to turn a profit in the last 24 hours was 'SallyWoo' and 'feliceko'.

Daniel Junglemandan Cates might have come out on top in the latest live cash game, but in this hand against Sam Trickett he certainly didn't have luck on his side.
