"Hi ktec,
The following illustrates a clearer explanation of how the FX fee works in regards to your NETELLER account and the NET+ Card.
We recommend selecting your NET+ Card with the currency you will shop with the most often. Each time currencies are exchanged, either between your NETELLER account and the NET+ Card, or the NET+ Card and a merchant terminal, a Foreign Exchange fee is applied. This fee, and the VIP FX rebate is dependent on what currency you choose for your NET+ Card.
When converting currencies between your NETELLER account and the NET+ Card there is a 2.5% Foreign Exchange fee, of which 1% is rebated to you.
If the currency conversion is occurring between your NET+ Card and the merchant terminal then you will be charged a 2.95% Foreign Exchange fee.
To better understand the fees associated with currency conversions, here are some example:
1. NETELLER account is in (USD), Net+ card in (USD), and the store is selling an item in (EUR) - > You will be charged a 2.95% foreign exchange fee since the foreign exchange has been done between the NET+ Card and the merchant terminal .
2. NETELLER account is in (USD), Net+ card in (EUR) , and the store is selling an item in (EUR) - > You will be charged a 2.5% foreign exchange fee of which you will receive a 1% rebate at the end of the month. The foreign exchange occurred between the NETELLER account and NET+ card.
3. NETELLER account is in (USD) , Net+ card in (EUR) , and the store is selling an item in (USD) -> You will be charged a 2.5% foreign exchange fee and you will receive a 1% rebate as the currencies are being converted between your NETELLER account and NET+ Card. However, you will also be charged a 2.95% foreign exchange fee since there is another currency exchange between the NET+ Card and the merchant terminal.
