mir kommts grad so vor, als gabs schon vor längerer zeit mal den hinweis, dass der shop überarbeitet wird und dabei diese ganzen artikel wie klamotten rausgenommen werden, weil die nachfrage danach einfach zu gering ist.

wenn sie das Zeug (umgerechnet) günstiger machen würden als wenn man es normal im Laden kauft... aber so nimmt man halt einfach nen amazon gutschein und kauft sich damit alles was man will... die wenigsten wollen halt pokerstars logos auf ihrer Jacke o.ä.
suckt natürlich nur für die, die nicht genug punkte zusammenbekommen oder halt unbedingt sozusagen ein "souvenir" von pokerstars haben wollen...
glaube aber trotzdem nicht, dass sie einfach die ganzen werbeartikel ersatzlos streichen...
Steve hat doch erklärt warum das Zeug teurer ist, man braucht halt lokale Partner, Steuern, ein Lager etc. etc. statt einfach einen Gutschein virtuell zu erstehen und das wars.
Denke trotzdem das die sowas wie Fernseher etc drin lassen sollte um fische zu motivieren, bzw damit die direkt sehen was man alles vom tollen VIP System kaufen kann, auch wenn es nie passieren wird ^^
Dass der Concierge Service weg ist stört unter Umständen nicht nur die Fische....
Den Porsche hätten auch drin lassen können, so viele werden da nicht gebraucht und Lagerkosten gibts auch keine
abwarten was passiert... fand die klamotten eigentlich ok: gut um sie zu hause zum gammeln oder beim homegame zu tragen

We held a brief unplanned session with our VIP Store team to get feedback on our store offering. We discussed many topics, but three got extra attention: books, electronics, and gift cards.We want to have a robust selection of books in the store but shipping costs have become prohibitive. It's probably not worth maintaining suppliers in each country for the volume of books that we sell, but international shipping costs add up quickly. We're looking into solutions that would allow purchase of e-books through the store. The first iteration of this is likely to be the ability to purchase a gift certificate for an online store that sells poker e-books.
Electronics are similarly challenging. We know that these items are quite popular with players. However, it's not practical for us to ship these often large, heavy, valuable, and fragile items globally from our central warehouse. Relying on third parties to ship locally means higher prices due to lower quantities sourced through each supplier. Perhaps more importantly, it means that it's difficult for us to keep our site updated accurately with what's available in each market. Electronics models change frequently; with several different global suppliers each maintining their own stock, the information in our store ends up not being very up to date.
Gift cards are one possible solution to the electronics problem. If we stock gift cards to online retailers, you can purchase the cards, then use them to buy online at the retailer's own website. This ensures that you have accurate availability information and are shopping locally for best shipping costs and delivery times. It also allows you to purchase a wider variety of items.
Gift cards aren't a perfect solution, either for electronics or for books. They are of fixed amount, so you likely end up having to pay a little extra out of your pocket or keeping some amount left over on your card for a future purchase. They are also far less aspirational for those browsing through the store. It's a lot less interesting to save your points up for a gift card than it is to save for a specific computer monitor, even if you can use the gift card for a wide variety of monitors.
We're also not able to offer gift cards for every retailer. One obvious choice has expressed preference that we not offer their cards in our store. We do offer Cadooz gift codes in many markets, however, and savvy shoppers will note that cadooz codes can be redeemed and then used to buy gift cards from many other online retailers.
The largest online retailers are able to provide the best service for most general goods. It's specialty goods where smaller providers are still able to compete. Our specialty goods are our PokerStars branded apparel and merchandise. Despite challenges with tariffs in certain markets, we believe we're delivering well for our customers in this area. We plan to launch quite a few new items over the remainder of the year.
Ich finde die Ankündigung dass die "Big"-Tournament Tickets ab August nicht mehr zu haben sind eigentlich schlimmer, es bleiben dann nur die Sunday Majors und die Steps übrig (und halt die Tickets für die Online-Serien wie SCOOP oder WCOOP)
na klasse, in der tat keine klamotten mehr und gutscheine und tickets gibs nur mit silver status....damit ist der freizeit und hobbyspieler ja wohl nur gearscht.... 
Hab per Mail folgendes gefragt:

hätte ich stars auch ehrlich gesagt nicht zugetraut, ausserdem haetten sie sicher einen "lagerverkauf" gestartet um alles weg zu bekommen...
