Reads: UTG 2 19/7/4.2 over 212 hands

Hero is in MP3 with A♦ Q♣

2 folds, UTG2 calls, 2 folds, Hero raises, 3 folds, BB calls, UTG2 calls.

Flop (5.4 SB)
2♦ 3♦ 3♣

UTG2 checks, Hero bets, BB calls, UTG2 calls

Turn (4.7 BB)
Q♦

UTG2 checks, Hero bets, BB calls, UTG2 raises, Hero calls, BB folds

River (9.7 BB)
6♦

UTG bets, Hero raises, UTG 3-bets, Hero caps

Final pot 17.7 BB

What line should we take here? Should we 3-bet the turn to get information and go into call down if capped, or is the call here okay? I only called here as was v thinking TAG. Or is TPTK with FD on paired 3 suited board a strong enough hand to 3-bet in any case?

As played I guess the cap on the river on a paired board is incorrect. In which case is it b/c or just call on the river?

Many thanks for any advice.

hi waiboy
at which site do you play ? because there are some nice converters out there which would make the hand way easier to read :)

well the turn is kinda close imo but he seems to be a very aggressive player so a 3-bet is ok as is a call. strange play by BB btw.
river is definately a raise for me because he could easily have something like Kx :diamond: or KQ with the K :diamond:
first i thought about just calling the 3-bet but look at his stats: he is very tight preflop... tell me one hand out of his range that beats us... maybe 66 but he wouldn´t play it like this on the turn. he would raise QQ preflop and on the flop. 22 and 33 are quite unlikely, aren´t they ?
on the other hand i can´t see many worse hands he would play like this...

i will mark this one for cirith because i´m not really sure about the turn and river play.

Hi Waiboy,

here is the guide for converting hands. At the end there are some links to he converters:

Your opponent should have check/raised the flop with 22. Well he got lucky as you improved. ;)

I don't like a turn 3-bet as a TAG would't try a bluff here very often. His check/raise looks very strong to me.

River is a raise for me as well but a cap is too much. The only hand you beat anymore is K :diamond: and even a 3-bet from a TAG with that hands is very rare.

Thanks for the reply folks. The cap was an adrenaline burst that cost me 1BB!

Sorry about the raggy hand listing... I previously was able to convert my Titan HH at Talking Poker when using PT3. My trial has ended and I"m currently trialling Holdem Manager - haven't to date been able to find a site to successfully convert HH from this software, will try the recommended site at the Hand Posting guide.
