Just got back into the poker streets after years off playing. been watching charlie carrels masterclass and a few other free video course out there to get my head back in the game.

Below are my stats- I know my 3bet should be a bit higher, however I watched some videos saying not to 3bet bluff too much in microstakes. Recently though I watched a video or two about not having a calling range in SB so have started to 3bet more from there to make up for position.

Any thoughts on the stats so far? EV wise im at about 2.5bb/100

Hey DrRaab congrats for the volume. This a good sample for a database review but you need to post some more stats.

So if you could add :

:club:Your Graph showing both the red and blue line. * Post it in BB won.
:club:Your stats by position.
:club:Important stats to show for a good review :

VPIP - PFR - RFI - win-rates - 3Bet
Fold-to-3bet - for PT4 "fold to 3bet after raise
Cold-call - for PT4 make sure this is "call PF 2bet" not cold-call
Fold to cbet on flop/turn/river
Cbet on flop/turn/river
Raise vs Flop Cbet
WTSD - W$SD - WWSF
4bet range (not frequency)
Fold to 4bet
River call efficiency

Spoiler

It should look something like this but ofc you need to show all the stats in more that one screenshot :

Could not find some of the stats- (I could filter but not an actual stat unless I'm missing something!)
Cold-call - for PT4 make sure this is "call PF 2bet" not cold-call
Raise vs Flop Cbet

From having a google after I posted, Need to Cbet a lot more to about 60/70% (how do I work out what boards I'm not cbetting on?)
I'll have to look at my calling/3betting vs steal ranges as I didn't realise how low it was.
3bet I know should be bigger but again from going through vids micro they dont really recommend a high 3bet (maybe I just need to add more into my linear 3bet line)

Hey thanks for the reply. So... you forgot some stats like :

You didn’t post Raise First In (RFI).
You didn’t post the Fold to 3bet stat.
You didn’t post the Fold to cbet stat.
You didn’t post the Raice cbet stat.
You didn't post the CC

Also a stat called : All-in equity Adjusted bb/100 this is my fault here.
In the spoiler i will post how to find all of this stats so you can know from now on.

Spoiler

********************************************************************************************************

Playing microstackes is something common to have a negative red line and a rising blue line. This indicates we are really pasive with our play style.
As a rough guide the worst negative red line it shouldn't be lower than -10bb/100. Yours at -20bb/100.

How can you increase this you will ask. Here on Pokerstrategy there is an entire series of videos talking only about this.
A few things that can improve the red lines are :

Steal the blinds more.
Play your draws more aggressively
Float more on the flop
2 barrel and 3 barrel more
Value bet thinner

Your Vpip/Pfr at 23/19 looks good but you missed from your report the stat : Raise First in – to see exactly how many hands do you Open raise from each position. But from your Vpip/Pfr ratio I could say you are almost on point with them.
Most common Raise First In stat should look like this by position :

EP around 13%
Mp around 18%
Co around 26%
BU around 48% If you know the people from blinds fold way to much you can increase this up to 55-60%

Let’s jump to the part you need to improve the most : 3bet stat.

Your 3bet is only 4.11% if you put that on Equilab you get this :

And this is your overall 3bet, because if you watch this by position you can see for example from Middle position in 4770 hands you 3bet vs Early position only 0.37% that means only AA.
A 3bet for a good wining player is between 7%-9% and if you want to see this by position it should look something like this :

MP 3bet : 3%-4%
Co 3Bet : 6%
Bu 3bet : 8%-10%
Sb 3bet : 8%
BB 3Bet : 8%

You could fix almost all of this leaks with just one thing : Good Ranges for the preflop play. And ofc you have to stick to them as much as you can.

You can find ranges here on Pokerstrategy or you can look for others for free or you can even buy them. ( I advise you not to look for the payed ones while you play microstakes ).

If you don't find anything that you like online then contact me and i will help you.

Maybe somebody else will jump in with more tips for you from your stats.

I wish you good luck and have fun at the tables :f_drink:

Thanks for your great response! I'd never have found the additional stats!

I'd agree with the passivity 100%. I do have a chart for the preflop ranges including 3bet (MP 3bet vs EP is KK+, so maybe I need to look for different ranges

You can add stats to the positional report by right clik onto any of the numbers and click on Configure report.

I have to argue on this one. If you play wider 3bet ranges before you can play 3bet pots postflop, it can cause more damage to your winrate than low 3bet stat. You can see winning regs with cbet stats like 4-6 on NL10. (That's the highest limit I have a large sample of.)

If I were you, the first leak I would fix is flop cbet. This leak can be fixed easier than 3bet stat and it's a very common situation when you see the flop as the preflop agressor, so you can boost your winrate easier. In my opnion 45 is way too low on miscrostakes. An average NL2 player overfolds against flop cbet. I am not a professional, but my stat was close to 70% on NL2 and Cbet F success was over 46. If you do the maths, you need more than 44% fold equity with a 80% flop cbet to be profitable and of course, you won't cbet 80% all the time.

what we need to know, when evaluating the flop play is not only the flop c-bet %, but even more importantly

skip c-bet and raise, call and fold %.

you can get away w a low c-bet like 45% very well, as long as you defend you checks. in fact this playing style is preferable. its harder to play for villain, easier to handle the pot on wet boards w a XC line (you cant get raised and have to fold your equity). your X can not be attacked relentlessly.

in my opinion the skip c-bet and and check / fold is on of the biggest leaks on those stakes.

For nl2 player your stats are not bad.
Preflop
As people above mentioned you should get different ranges - with 4% 3bet and 3% squeeze you are missing not only bluffing opportunities but also reraises for value. Keep in mind that especially against weaker player you should 3bet a lot and isolate him for yourself instead of allowing other players to join in.
You should also limit calling from MP,CO and SB to 0. Its pointless to build flatting range from those positions in high rake environment.

Your main focus preflop should be 3bet and defending BB. 74% fold to steal is at least 10% too high.

BTW. you can use free preflop snowie advisor ranges to get idea how you should be playing preflop.

Postflop
Your cbet is very low both on flop and turn, especially when you are IP. 43% from BTN is super low - on nl2 honestly you probably can get away there with 100% cbet(in position).

In general your main problem postflop is that you are too nitty - not bluffcatching enough and missing a lot of easy valuebets. 64% wonsd is very high, river call efficiency is also too high(optimally you should have between 1.3 and 1.8). Often its better to bet few BB instead of checking and missing value.

DrRaab,
To be short and not go crazy to detail:

The RFI stat is a big thing when starting out, which someone stated above... You need to get this on you PT$. GO into my reports and put RFI should come up. This will help your red line a little bit.

2. all your 3bet preflop are low, you need to decide if you are doing this linear or polar 3 bets.
3. Your cbets on Flop and Turn are LOW as well, Flop should be about 66-70%
4. your playing style right now in SB and BB is working out as you are better then -50/bb from SB and -100/bb from BB those are stats that if you folded every hand.
5. wish you at your ATS and also fold to small blind raise.. this would help your SB bb/100

6. positive is looks like your CC2bet stat is pretty good sitting at 6.2..

As for graphs red line blue line and yellow line, at the limits you are playing the only lien that matters is the green line.. $$$$$ ..

this was just a quick look any questions ask away.

I notice with myself, when I play too passive, red line dropping, I have hard time collecting money, if it stays level, then that equals good for me... I will post graph tonight if I get time

Thanks for all the advice! I've made a list and I am going to start implementing the increase in Cbet first. It's funny I know you are meant to cbet a large % of the time and if you'd had asked me prior to first looking at my stats I would have thought it was about 60-65% at least that's what it felt like.

The only RFI I could seem to find is one which says 29.49

I'll have a look for my check/fold and skip cbet stat tonight

I've also started using a new preflop chart for raising etc and will start to implement that now going forward. It was interesting looking at the difference in the two charts

This is the right stat but you have to see it by position. When you analyze your game always go and watch your stats by position.

How much percent of the pot should the flop contibet as the aggressor be?

It depends on OOP or IP. The flop texture and of course your hand.

It is wise when you are oop to keep the pot smaller unless you have a monster hand, as you always need to act first,

Which is the reason why you win most of your money on the button and in cut off positions.

Sorry about the delay here is my position stats!

Found a new hand chart, and it has given me run good just a tad. just played over 6k hands with it so need a little more with it to show the difference in play but I can already see a shift in my red line

Is there a way to filter boards where I should have cbet but did not?
