Of the times I've played since 2018, the average cost has been 129 coins, and the average payout $8.36

It should be clear then that its EV+ to play Deal even when jackpot is less than 100k as you are making on average more than 6 cents for one starcoin wasted on The Deal.

Quite true.
If you're going to play it at all though, you need to play it every 12 hours, or you lose everything you've invested with no reward at all.
Also, the longer you wait -- without missing it -- the higher your ROI

Indeed. Offcourse with waiting you risk the reward if you don't participate, but that's part of the strategy I think.

There was a spin at 02:17 GMT on Nov 6
Our lucky winner gets $1000, since the jackpot is intact

Well done for him/her. Offcourse if you have a shot to win the jackpot you want to win it.

"The Deal" is currently broken for me.
When I logged in to PokerStars this morning, "The Deal" opened up, but inexplicably said something about my password being incorrect (I didn't write it down)

Now when I open "The Deal" it just does this:

Then it sits like that permanently.
PokerStars support told me that there is a new "The Deal" and that I should change a setting in my user.ini file -- which I did, but to no avail.

So until this is fixed, I won't be able to report on jackpot attempts.
I am clearly not the only one with this problem, since I took that screenshot at 09:07 local today, and as I write this, the jackpot is not increasing and showing 73,368.22

Another possible cause is that the US West coast server is showing that its connection is "Bad (0%)"

I would be interested if some others following this thread could let me know if "The Deal" is working for them.

Since I posted that, the jackpot has indeed increased -- all the way to 73,373.57

This issue has been reported by quite a few people on the Pokerstars discord.

OK, it is back now.
When I engaged their tech support, the agent seemed unaware of the problem -- and silly me, I didn't think of discord

That's a decent increase.

A spin for $121k, winner got $1k. Maybe it's time to play again! :f_cool:

Good to know -- I missed it for some reason.
I'm still going to hold out 'til 150K

Yes — but it is strange to see 2 spins within an hour of each other

I happened to turn on Pokerstars as this spin was about to start ,,, I played one turbo SNG and this was still spinning the wheel when I finished ,,,,, looked like the spin was going on forever ,,,, so my assumption is this was just one spin with a glitch ( the guy musta been on tilt waiting for his spin to stop ) .

Than I expect he/she won 1k anyway.

Not to bad. Maybe the jackpot will reach 150k+ in a few days.
