Hello. I play cash regularly but once in a while i try some MTTs. My main problem is that i don't know when to make a move when my stack starts to shrink. I haven't found many articles about medium-short stack play; so maybe could someone point me this material?

In this hand, do you think i should push from the beginning? I though that it was not absolutely necessary since i could bet many flops or they would just fold preflop due to my super tight image.
I decided to raise all-in the BTN because he was very aggresive 3 betting and stealing a lot. Could i play post flop with this stack? If i double-up i will be in very good shape and can't afford to wait for another chance, right?

Blinds= 100/200, Antes=25, about 100 players "before bubble"

CO: 5,417 (27.1 bb)
BTN: 11,104 (55.5 bb)
SB: 20,034 (100.2 bb)
BB: 6,020 (30.1 bb)
UTG+2: 9,351 (46.8 bb)
MP1: 10,594 (53 bb)
MP2: 9,723 (48.6 bb)
Hero (MP3): 4,595 (23 bb)

Preflop: Hero is MP3 with T T
3 folds, Hero raises to 500, CO folds, BTN raises to 1,000, 2 folds, Hero raises to 4,570 and is all-in, BTN calls 3,570

BTN
shows A :club:Q :diamond:

Flop: (9,640) T 8 7
Turn: (9,640) K
River: (9,640) J :diamond: :f_cry:

Looks fine if you expect him to fold to your 4bet a lot, or if you expect him to call with worse.

You shouldn't open shove just yet. You're just a touch too deep for that, even with antes in play. It's not that big a mistake, probably, but there's certainly merit for raise/folding (if you have a weaker hand) or raise/shoving. You'll still have a decent re-shoving stack even if you have to fold to a 3bet, and if you shove and get called you are probably flipping at best.

So I would play the same way :)

Hey Erevos!

Against a player who likes to 3bet a lot (also against utg-shorter-stacks) its a standard shove! If he's a nit than I always fold here! Totally depends on the player if this shove is good or not!

Greets,
Tiltberger
