I think pre and flop are OK
Early in session, no stats

PokerStars - $0.10 NL (6 max) - Holdem - 6 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 4

SB: $10.02
BB: $23.76
UTG: $11.05
MP: $11.01
Hero (CO): $10.00
BTN: $29.36

SB posts SB $0.05, BB posts BB $0.10

Pre Flop: (pot: $0.15) Hero has A♣:K♦:

UTG calls $0.10, fold, Hero raises to $0.45, fold, fold, fold, UTG calls $0.35

Flop: ($1.05, 2 players) K♠:J♦:8♠:
UTG checks, Hero bets $0.52, UTG raises to $1.04, Hero calls $0.52

Turn: ($3.13, 2 players) 7♣:
UTG bets $1.49, Hero q???

Straights and sets now become strong possibilities, but I'm really hating to fold this...

Villains line is weird, but you beat only a semi bluff on the turn and read less it's tough to expect villain will check/min raise flop with a draw.

If I had the A♠: then maybe I'd come over the top of his flop raise, but if he shoves I am in a spot as I am hoping for just one draw or TPWK and not flush and str8 draws, of course he could have a set as well. Let say we call the turn bet and OTR the flush bricks but he shoves anyways, are we still going to call? Vs un known is it better to check this kinda flop, or is it bet until we get told to STOP.

I wish I had remembered this bit of advice at the time 😭_cry:
He had K8o

What is hard about this, is what is he limping with UTG? Then just calling. I know he had K8o cause you said it.. but I probably would have put him on a FD str8 draw or a set of 8’s .. is a weird line.

I probably would have called turn, and the see what happens on river.

Preflop is OK, what UTG rcould limp-call, KQs, KJs, medium pairs . AKs, KK, JJ he would be openrising.
If he was pasive in reflop and than beting posflop turn I would add him 2 pairs KJs. Limp-call T9s wouldnot be in UTG range.

I can’t see 6 handed limping with KQs and KJs

Medium pairs 55-99 yes

Only from the lc pre is clear, that he is prob CS! CS are min raising by default very strong hands 2p+ at least and can be worst unless you have info, that they can do it lightly! So no matter how sick it is from exploitative point of vue we don't like at all to call even OTF, but considering we are IP and can hit stronger 2p it is Ok! OTT it is simply a snap fold to me cs calling station line without info he is capable to do it lightly!

This is an interesting hand. I'm gonna call turn and see river but my general assumption here is that I'm likely up against a fish though.
