Agree with this. 4-bet to $6-$6,50. Also try to play full-stacked. I know why you're doing this, but I don't think it's good.
Why 4x? — Habit mainly. I think that the smaller sizing $6 - $6.50 leads to too many family pots where you end up throwing away your hand (and money) on a bad flop.
Full-stacked OK, I'll play with auto-top-up on for a while. I've only been doing this for a year or so in NL flop games. It makes no difference at PL or FL games, and it does not have the "perceived weak player" advantage if all at the table are not topping up.
Isn't this a good spot to call? As I played this, I figured "this is 4Bet or fold". I'm open to being wrong, but what tipped the scales is the idea that if MP's iso-raise was weakish, and COs was exploiting that weakness, I could perhaps take the pot here.
Outcome: Since my default cold 4Bet sizing was 4x which left me "pot committed"[1] I decided to shove, and got 3 folds. Had I bet the 4x I would not have folded to a shove, and had I 4Bet the suggested $6 - $6.50 I would have considered folding — bug clearly I didn't want to. Having just said that I realized I overplayed my hand a bit.
[1] I hate the "pot committed" idea — sometimes it may be OK to fold with half your stack in the middle, sometimes not.
