This guy i m playing against is a reg with which i had a decent amount of history... He s playing 16 13 over 3800 hands and despite being semi-tight he s kind of tricky he 3bets and 4bets light a lot pre (8%, 11% and 12% from lp and blinds) which isn t that much but compared to other regs it s a lot... Also he tends to 3bet and 4bet my raises more often than others cause i m kind of loose so when he 3 bets pre i just call cause i don t want to 4bet and then get into a spot when he showes and i don t know what to do...
Flop: I flop the 2nd nuts (and nuts vs his range) so i check raise thinking if he has something like aq, kk or aa he s not going anywhere and if he has something like kj, aj, some random q9, ak i don t want him to hit a straight...
Turn: I really hate the turn cause it completes some straights, and also gives jj a set... I bet again he calls again so now i m a bit worried but not too much as there is still a bunch of worse hands he could call me with...
River: The river is a blank and i push... I really don t know what to do in this spot... It s such a similar situation to the hand i posted earlier, i don t think there s a lot of hands he can call me with that i have beat, especially considering the fact that we re both deep here, but i fell like i can t check fold here, i can t check call (with what is he going to bluff here with?)... I dont want to check and let him check aq, aa, kk or even qj behind but i m not sure will he call with those hands (except qj). Also i have history in my favour cause i tried to bluff him in a few 3bet pots and he picked me off... I beat aq, aa, kk, qj and loose to ak, qq, jj (i really thought ak was unlikely) so this should be a good play, right?
So am i being result oriented? Is it just a cooler? Should i have played any part of the hand differently? Is he really calling aq, aa, kk here? Any help regarding any part of the hand is apreciated...
