Hello Community,

my name is Ingo and I am 32 years old. I am married and have a four year old son.

Until 2014 I played tournaments on Pokerstars regularly. After that I lost interest a little, also due to lack of time due to house building / work.

Now I would like to open this blog here because I am totally motivated again and would like to try the cash game. I plan to get on NL10. I've spent a lot of time playing poker over the past few weeks, watching online video material and reading Felix Schneider's Green, Yellow and Red Guide.

I'm starting this blog to challenge myself to learn faster from all of you and to achieve my goals faster.

Since I am self-employed in the insurance industry, I can play short sessions (1 hour) at different times.

I plan to give an update here on the blog every week to show the development of my game and to post interesting hands.

About the challenge and the goals:

Limit: NL10 zoom
Bankroll: $ 250
Bankroll Finish: $ 1500
To play NL25 successfully in the long term

My English is not the best, I would like to apologize in advance.
I hope you enjoy my blog and we have a good start to my first cash game week.

Hello Ingo!

Don't apologize for the English. Have the same thing on my blog. This is a good way to train your English :)

Thank you very much I will try my best and hope to improve my English. At the moment I am sometimes dependent on the translation machine.

So now the first week of my challenge is over and I always plan to give you an update on Sunday.
I always played 2-3 shorter sessions a day. Mostly around lunch and then again in the evening.

I also developed preflop charts and 3-betting charts and watched some videos.

What is currently causing me some problems is continuation betting as an aggressor. When should I bet and in which amount? Maybe someone has a tip for me?!

I can say I'm really surprised after the first week.
I just had only one really terrible session. This was this sunday morning. I lost $ 40 and ran $ 45 below EV.
But well, I am very satisfied and of course I hope that I can continue the next week with the same "success"!

Week1:
11869 Hands
11,80BB/100
+140,01$
Bankroll: 390,01$

Gl.. my suggest as of now would be only go for a 30-buy in fir nl 25.. like 750$.. 1500$ in my opinion is way to big and you could be wasting your time. First week looks good, with almost 12bb/100..

Many thanks for your answer. I want to collect experience in NL10.(Maybe 50.000 Hands) At this limit it is easier for me to stabilize my game. Afterwards I want to play NL16 oder NL25.

The game changes as you move up in stakes, what you use and learn at that limit- will only help you so much at nl 50.... the faster you can move up at 30BI per stake...the more you will learn,

Work on fundamentals, RFI ranges, c betting, delay c-betting pot odds.. etc. this is the stuff that matters...

Hello community, Here is a short update of the second weeks of my challenge.

At the beginning of the last week I started badly. I lost som stakes and was not happy about my game. At the end of the week I was able to stabilize again, so that only a small minus of 2 buy remains.

I worked on my hud and marked a lot of players on the limit.

Week 2:
Hands: 15685
Limit: NL 10
Profit: -22,34 $
-1,43/100

Overall:
Bankroll: 367,37$
Hands: 27527
Limit: NL10
Profit: 117,67 $
4,27bb/100

Since the blog started, I've been up $ 117.67.

How do you analyze your sessions? I am looking for the right way. Before I start the session, I look selected hands from yesterday. How are you dooing here? How do you analyze hands correctly? How to discover the procedure and hands that have not been played correctly.

Hi Ingo, looks like a good turn arround in profits.

I like the videos of Gripsed on YouTube about analyzing sessions. I do not have a solid session review plan or something but I think its a good start.
