Weekly update no. 13

Played from 26.12.2022 to 01.01.2023

Hi everybody and Happy New Year πŸ₯‚

Last week of the year has a bit low on poker tournaments played, but I still managed to get some nice results. I played only 20 tournaments and some satellites to some of the New Years Series events on Pokerstars.
During the week the only one notable results was in the event 9-L the $3.30 NLHE (6-max) where I finished 1671 and cashed.

On Sunday morning I managed to qualify to the New Year Special event - L from a $2.60 sat. and I finished the tournament late last night on 2647th for a min cash. So I started the year ok :f_biggrin:

Also I played the last 3 tournaments from the Scholars Event but didn't reach top 50. :f_frown: I don't know if this series will continue this year because I don't see any future tournaments in the Pokerstars client.

So the Bankroll at the beginning of the year is:

Played from 26.12.2022 to 01.01.2023

Starting Bankroll: T$1000.50
Last week Bankroll: $842.23 +T$ 699.97 = $1542.20
Current Bankroll: $898.39 + T$ 667.27 = $1565.66

Profit from last week: + $23.46

Goal: $10 000

Have a good week guys and let your goals for 2023 came true :f_thumbsup:

Unfortunately Pokerstars removed the Scholars tournaments starting this year, due to a business decision. :( Luckily I managed to win it once :f_tongue:

Weekly update no. 14

Played from 02.01.2023 to 08.01.2023

Hi everyone, :welcome:

In the last week I was focusing mainly on the New Year Series, I played a lot of qualifying satellites to the $11, $22 events and played some $2.20, $3.30 and even $5.50 events. I played also some $4 Spin & Go's to get some tickets and also on Sunday I played some $1,50 Sunday Millions Spin & Go's to try and see if I can get a entry to the Special edition of Sunday Millions. Unfortunately I did not qualify to it, the best prize that I had at my tables was an $11 ticket.

Only on Monday I played the platinum CC freeroll and finished 19th, after that I played only in weekend the $300 CC Freeroll.

I won my ticket to the New Year 65-L event via a $2.20 satellite on Thursday, played it and got $20 in bounties but exited when there where 300 players left to the money places when I played poorly A7o in BTN and called an all in re-steal form the BB which turned out to have KK. :f_mad: I should have been more patient.

Also on Saturday I played with one of the $11 tickets that I won during the week the Road to Sunday Million satellite which is a PKO format tournament and finished 148th for $9.59 and $5 in bounties. That tournament ended brutal again with me in BTN, here is the hand:

PokerStars - 1800/3600 Ante 360 NL (8 max) - Holdem - 8 players
Hand converted by Holdem Manager 3

BB: 160,073 (44.5 bb)
UTG: 99,399 (27.6 bb)
UTG+1: 145,291 (40.4 bb)
MP: 101,695 (28.2 bb)
MP+1: 139,297 (38.7 bb)
CO: 258,904 (71.9 bb)
Hero (BTN): 55,327 (15.4 bb)
SB: 93,678 (26 bb)

8 players post ante of 360, SB posts 1,800, BB posts 3,600

Pre Flop: (pot: 8,280) Hero has A♦: 9♠:
5 folds, Hero raises to 7,560, fold, BB raises to 11,520, Hero raises to 54,967 and is all-in, BB calls 43,447

Flop: (114,614, 2 players) J♦: 3♥: 4♥:

Turn: (114,614, 2 players) K♣:

River: (114,614, 2 players) 8♠:

Results: 114,614 pot (0 rake)
Final Board: J♦: 3♥: 4♥: K♣: 8♠:

BB shows 7♦: 7♠:: (One Pair, Sevens)
(Pre 56%, Flop 74%, Turn 86%)

Hero shows A♦: 9♠:: (High Card, Ace)
(Pre 44%, Flop 26%, Turn 14%)

BB wins 114,614

I need to learn πŸ“– from this mistakes. :f_cry: It's costing me πŸ’°

So after all this the Bankroll for this challenge today is:

Played from 02.01.2023 to 08.01.2023

Starting Bankroll: T$1000.50
Last week Bankroll: $898.39 + T$ 667.27 = $1565.66
Current Bankroll: $1061.83 + T$ 524.07 = $1585.90

Profit from last week: + $20.24

Goal: $10 000

Take care everyone and good luck at the tables. :f_thumbsup:

Thank you very much for this nice words. I decided to make it a long term challenge because time is our most valuable asset and most of the players play it for fun. So I want to show that it can be done without spending all your time at the tables ( I will definitely take longer ), and that everyone can make it with proper discipline. :f_thumbsup:

Yeah man keep it up :f_drink: I've opted for smaller goals that are reachable but won't take as much time. It's important for me to see I am at least making a tiny dent every day or week. If I set out to big a goal, it's like I don't feel like I am making much progress, and this can lead to frustration and then eventually to tilt. Someday I will set out a big goal like yours :challenge:

I get that. My first challenge was to make it to $1000 from $37 and managed to finish it in 1 year, here is it From Recreational to Regular

It was a up and down experience, but having a blog helped a lot.

Weekly update no. 15

Played from 09.01.2023 to 15.01.2023

Hi everyone, :welcome:

In the past week I haven't played that much poker as I would have wanted ( mainly do to work stuff ), I played some New Year Series events with the two $11 tickets that I had won via Spin & Go's last week but no cashes into them. I played mostly from my phone and only on weekend I managed to play from my PC but I did play only freerolls because I was distracted and did not want to waste my bankroll if I can't play properly.
The only cash this week was in the New Year Series event 112-L the $2.20 8-max, where I managed to finish in 1676th and make some good use of the $2.20 ticket that I had.

For the upcoming weeks I will not play that much on Pokerstars for this challenge since on GGPoker has started a new edition of the MiniMillions and since now I have build a nice bankroll there I can play a lot of the tournaments that I want from this series including the Main Event. :badteeth: For the past months I build a really nice bankroll on GGPoker from scratch and I really enjoy the tournaments there.
This are just some results that I had this week :

So for the next 2-3 weeks my focus will mainly be on GGPoker.

I will still be playing on Pokerstars but maybe I have to select the tournaments that I can play.

So the bankroll for this week is:

Played from 09.01.2023 to 15.01.2023

Starting Bankroll: T$1000.50
Last week Bankroll: $1061.83 + T$ 524.07 = $1585.90
Current Bankroll: $1065.41 + T$ 524.07 = $1589.48

Profit from last week: + $3.58

Goal: $10 000

Take care and have a good week :gl:

Today the delivery guys will come by to take my PC to the shop and see why this happened. I really hope I don't have to buy a new one. :gl:

In my case, I found that the CPU cooler fans and case fans were filled with dust. This had been no problem until I started streaming, and the increased GPU load caused excessive heat. I replaced the on-board GPU with a high-end second-hand graphics card.

I hope that the fix will be as simple for you.

I have an update on the PC problem . It appears that my CPU Cooler ( Cooler CPU ID-Cooling FrostFlow) was broken so the team that I sent it to have to replace it. In the meantime I play some freerolls from my phone. Here is one result from Saturday. Picture taken from my wife PC. :f_biggrin:

The weekly updates will be back when I get my PC back. Hopefully by the end of this week. 🀞
