:diamond:BTN seems standard, but increasing it even to 60 wouldn't hurt if you can control it post flop.
:diamond:CO could be some higher (around 30ish should be fine for NL25)
:diamond:Now MP I can't tell, I saw people advocating being tighter from MP at NL25- maybe that's right I don't know, I personally RFI from MP 25-28 sometimes even 30, but I'm playing NL100€ and it's not the same as at pokerstars (some hands are played with 5 or even 4 ppl, so take this one with reserve)
:diamond:you should probably tighten up from EP, just keep it conservative from EP for now. I would say 9-12 max would give best results @nl25.

EDIT: I don't want to speak about your blinds, bcs you should just continue to do whatever you do, you seem to be a blind crusher :)

UTG: I think about 13-15% is optimal
MP: looks good
CO: I like raising more here, about 27-28%
BTN: I agree with Frankie that you can go up to 60%, possibly more at nl25.
SB: When I played nl25, people were way too tight in the BB so I raised 60% in the SB. I now raise 50% as a default. I suggest you try it out.

So last month was a pretty big disappointment, I really gave 6-max a shot, but I just can't wrap my head around it, I started out with a big upswing the first couple of days, but lost the for the rest of the month and ended with a small loss for the month. I'm not sure I beat the game, but I'm not sure I ran very well either, but I guess we will never know since I decided to go back to Full Ring.

Last month I was staked for NL25, which I thought would be a great idea, but in the end I turned out to demotivate me quite a bit, I didn't feel like I was free to play whatever games I wanted and basically just didn't feel good about it. Thats over now and I feel like a burden has been lifted off my shoulders, I now play for myself and not somebody else which is pretty nice in some way.

I feel very motivated for this month, I have went back NL10 and plan on crushing this month, I feel like I learned a lot last month from playing 6-max especially post-flop, although I still suck at it. :f_biggrin:

Goals for the month:
:club: 35,000 hands
:club: 1,200 VPP's
:club: Profit at the table
:club: Watch 3 training videos a week
:club: Have a good time on my holiday to Denmark

After a lot of gay comments after using a Justin Bieber pic as my stars image I decided it was time to change, honestly I didn't think I was able to change my image again, but it was so hopefully within a couple of days you can see this beauty as my stars image. :f_biggrin:

Hey JCSeerup, good luck with your poke goals, wanted to ask, why did you change from FR to 6max ? I'm playing FR 10NL zoom now, and thinking maybe i should transfer to 6max too, not sure. :)

No good reasons really, a lot FR on 2p2 changed to 6-max in december and I figured I would also give it a shot, and I started winning, so went with it. In the end I just realized that I'm probably more suited for FR since I'm a bit of a nit.

Hey JCSeerup,

Have really been enjoying your thread and interested that you changed back to FR as well. I have been all over the place the last few years and have decided on FR, which i feel suits my play as well (being felow nit :)).

Chin up and look forward to some good results.

I was really pumped to get back to FR, I also think I have been playing alright, but the results has been pretty poor, I know it is a very small sample and likely to be variance since I feel like the games are really soft and that I got a pretty good edge against most of the players at NL10. My non-showdown winnings also seem to be somewhat under control, I just ran in to a string of a lot of coolers yesterday, today I went better and I'm not worried that I shouldn't be able to beat the limit.

I'm trying to put in good volume so I can get the rest of my first deposit bonus released before friday so I can cash out my roll for when I go to Denmark, and have a good time. The only problem is I don't know if I will be able to deposit enough for a decent roll for NL10 when I get back home, so I might have to either start from $50-$100 and grind it up or get staked. I'm not sure it's worth getting staked for NL10, but I really don't want to play lower either, so it's a bit of a dilemma. Hopefully I won't drink up my entire roll and I will be able to deposit ~$200 when I get back.

So I haven't been playing as much as I would have wanted to teh last two days, lets start with tuesday. My landlord was showing a room in teh house I live in while I was at work and decided to lock both lock on teh door. The problem with that is I only brought one key, so I had to wait 3 hours before I could get in. When I finally got locked in I was so tilted that I decided I'd better not play poker so instead I watched a lot of TV-shows and decided to end teh night watching 'Step Up', so I went to bed at 02:00 to get about 3.5 hours sleep so yesterday I weren't really in the mood to play I still managed to play around 1k hands and modify my PT4 HUD a bit with some color codings. Right now I'm really happy with my HUD, I think it got pretty much whatever I need in it so I pretty excited to get home and use it today! :f_biggrin:

I have had PT4 license for a while, but been too lazy to import the latest hands, what finally pushed me over is when I read Tim Stones blog + a lot of posts about how it doesn't make any sense to look at teh results and I realized it's pretty much the only software where one efectively can review ones play without looking at teh results so from now on I will try to maybe look at results once a week and in some time hopefully just at teh end of teh month

Tomorrow I'm flying back to Denmark for a holiday which I look very much forward to, 10 days without work and poker and lots of sleep is going to be so good, I hope to get my mac re-installed, study a lot of poker and finally spend a lot of time with my friends and family. :f_love:

Looking a bit further in to the future I have been thinking about playing a side event or two and maybe some CG at UKIPT Dublin if I have any money with me back from Denmark. :f_cool: So if anybody else is going and want to say 'Hi' let me know.

Most importantly I finally got my new image accepted by Pokerstars. :f_love:

So I have now been in Denmark since friday, which have been really nice. Seeing ones friends and family is always nice and just having time to do nothing without feeling bad is one of the best feelings in the world!

I thought I would give a little trip report. I got on my plain as planned and got to Denmark without any problems, and I was going to take a train 00:10, but there were trouble with the trains, so I had to wait until 05:50 before I could get on a train for 3,5 hours before getting to bed. I was waiting on Copenhagen train station where there were filled with drunk people so a couple funny things did happen, a guy tried to stand up but because he was extremely drunk he had no balance and fell directly down on his face without even trying to take off with his hands.

Finally I got home after the long wait and slept for a couple hours before meeting up with a friend, we decided to go to a bar and get a beer where we also decided to go to a +16 party tuesday which was a ton of fun, didn't get too drunk which was nice, and I never seen that many girls in one place.

Since then I haven't been doing too much, sleeping quite a bit, going to the gym a couple times, and just enjoying not having to do anything.

So yesterday I came back to Dublin, and I was actually planing on playing a session, but when I came home I was tired and had a headache, so I decided to just watch some episodes of Two And a Half Men and relax.

Because of the 10 days in Denamark I'm very far behind schedule, I signed up for 50k hands in the charity pool on 2p2, so far I'm only at 11k, so I really need to start grinding or I will have to donate $100 to charity (arguable not the worst thing that could happen). Since I don't wan't to check my graph anymore this month it's gonna be exciting right until the end since I won't know how many hands I'm at, but I guess that will just make it more fun. :f_biggrin:

After I came home from Denmark I also started looking at things from a different perspective I have been living really unhealthy lately (guess thats normal for a 20 year old kid who just moved out on his own), I have been eating shitty food and not spending time in the gym at all. I want to eat clean and maybe from next month start going to the gym 2-3 times a week whcih very likely will give me more energy and stop me from being too fat.

Back to the good news. Today when I logged in to pokerstrategy I also could see my status had been upgaded and I had recieved a mail saying that I won the "Pimp Your Hand" competition and I had won a pokerstrategy USB which is kinda cool I guess. :f_biggrin:

Today I woke up and was really ready and pumped to get grinding right from teh start, but it never really went my way, I couldn't find any momentum, ran into a bunch of coolers and never really hit too much beside when I was all in where I actually ran pretty good, so for my first session I actually ran break-even, but in teh other session I pretty quickly lost 6 BI's which really sucks, but what can you do, that's poker and it will happen from time to time. I think I could have played better in certain spots, and not peel as much when I get raised on low boards w Ax w/o more backdoor draws to go with it.

I decided to try zoom, so I haven't had a HUD since I have to run windows simulator on my mac for a HUD to work, but I can't run PT4 optimally and I can't get HM2 to work, so I decided to play without HUD which in certain spots suck, but it is what it is. I don't plan on keep on playing zoom, only until teh end of teh month or until I reach 50k hands for teh month which was my goal or I will have to give $100 to charity.

To be able to play more table effectively I have been looking into buying a new monitor. What I'm looking for in a monitor is high resolution (2560x1440 or 2560x1080), I don't know how well that work on a 27" screen, but I think that is what I'm going to buy.

I have been looking at the following monitors, any thoughts?

Philips 29" wide screen

Philips 27"

I found a couple hands from today that I found interesting.

Hi,

Facing river shove vs fish

Unless the fish is very agressive I would be more inclined to fold.

I believe that with a better A (AQ, AJ), he would bet more on the turn.
He can be betting small to induce and then come over the top.
If he is a bad player he can even have a slowplayed set (which I doubt)

The river is a blank but would he shove JJ, 99 here? A hand like AT?

Like I said, I would be more inclined to fold my TPTK here.

Facing limp/raise w QQ, GII on ~ low flop

I don't know NL10, but in the down floor :p, they do this with an extremely nutted range. I would expect the best case scenario to be QQ+ AKs.

I would be tempted to call for set value, but thats it I think. If we think he is weak, why not try to put it in PRE and avoid the fact that an A or K can hit the board?

Board: 3♦4♥J♥
       Equity
MP2    21.56%  19.18%   2.39% { QdQs }
MP3    78.44%  76.05%   2.39% { JJ+, AKs }

We are in bad shape, I believe.

Mid set, probably pretty terrible turn line, would prefer to just cbet turn

I would cbet Turn because we want to extract from all two pairs and draws that will pay.

Since he didn't checked behind, the difference is not much and we would loose here anyway.

Just letting you know what I think. Anything you don't agree, please, say ;)

I believe you should make your decision preflop with QQ there vs limp raise..
QQ where you hit set seems standard..
AK.. I would also shove preflop of he is aggro fish..

I saw you the other day in pleno skype group, do you think that his series helped you in your full ring game too?

Never call a 4bet pre with AK espacially vs a fish in these postiions!!!! It's a hand you do not want to slow play. Since when you hit, all under pairs are folding and when you miss it's always or almost always a X/F. As played folding Ak on the flop is the best play , it's literally the bottom of your range in this spot.

If you call flop , you need to jam turn hope a combo draw or Aqo pays you off, even getting a combo draw to fold is +EV, since you fold out 30% equity with if you do calculation you will see jamming turn vs his range is more +EV then calling!!

QQ hand I'm not sure , I really can't see him having anything but KK or AA here at Nl10 fr but I'm not familiar with this format. I guess by jamming your hoping he calls with TT, AJ,KJ which is quite optimistic. Since even Aks has really good equity vs you. Calling flop and blank turns is better IMO.

2nd QQ hand)

Cooler but I think jamming turn is higher EV, by check raising you aren't really letting him bluff catch. I doubt someone calls your X/R with A9,AK,AQo. But they might call a jam, telling themselves you have a flush draw. I guess it comes down to player pool tendencies which I know nothing about :) .

Yeah, I do believe his videos have helped me a fair bit in FR too, a lot of what he teaches is how to exploit which is teh same for 6-max as FR. I feel like especially value betting river thinner, bluffing when villains range is capped, the SB strategy (which I'm still trying to figure out how to use vs. UTG, UTG+1 and UTG+2 in FR) and not folding as much from BB has improved my overall game very much. I'm still watching and re-watching teh videos to squeeze more information out of them, so hopefully I will learn even more from them. :f_grin:

Today I decided in order to get more volume, so it wouldn't be so stressful to put in the last 25k hands this month, I would play 6 zoom tables (4 NL5, 2 NL10) and I can really say that NL 5 is a lot softer than NL10 although both stakes should be very easily beatable.

In the afternoon I put in to very good session, I felt very focused and that mu game was very good, obv teh fact that I played NL5 might have been another reason why I felt it was so easy. :f_biggrin:

Tonight I played a third session where I might not have been as focused, played a bit around with spotify and youtube, and lost pretty quickly a couple of BI's which I had to grind back. I do also think I ran fairly bad tonight, got into a lot of situations where my over pairs was no good and other coolers.

I would have posted some HH's again tonight, but PT4 was running so slow that I decided it has to wait until tomorrow. I wrote down a ton of spots on a note block that I had to look for, so there will be some HH's tomorrow afternoon that someone hopefully will look at. :f_biggrin:

That's all for today, good game and good grinding. :f_biggrin:
