TwiceT wins 2-1 over Maxippouce in League of Champions playoffs
English community representative TwiceT and French community champion Maxippouce will meet in Round 3 of the League of Champions. The match starts on Saturday at 19:00 GMT and we will provide you with the live stream.
The PokerStrategy.com League of Champions is now just one step away from the Grand Finals. With only three PokerStrategists left, the $25,000 first place prize will soon have an owner.
Until the finals however, we still have one set of matches to go and this one will put twicet from the English community up against French community member maxippouce.
At this point, both of them have secured a $5,000 payday. However, there is more ahead and we asked these players to tell us their thoughts on the upcoming match:

Unlike the first two opponents, Maxippouce won't "quadruple" his bankroll with the League of Champions, so he might not be too nervous and should be able to play his A-game all the time. I can't talk too much about my assumptions of course, but I expect the match to be very interesting and I will probably have to switch gears and re-adapt to his adaptation vs. my monkey style (laughs). |

My next opponent TwiceT is probably the one player I didn't want to play heads-up with, mainly because of his heads-up experience but also because of his rather maniac style and because he can adapt very well to various situations. I really think he is a good player with an edge on me, but I won't let him win tha easily. If he wants to beat me, he will have to play very good poker (and drink a lot of vodka...) |
