The PokerStrategy.com League of Champions came to an end last week, when English community representative TwiceT took home the $25,000 first place prize. Let's have a look at some of the most interesting hands from the whole playoff stage.
twicet had the longest road in the League of Champions, but he also got the biggest reward: the coveted trophy and a massive cash prize of $25,000. He was the only one to play in all playoff rounds, defeating four PokerStrategists on his way:

Here are some of the highlighted hands from the playoffs:
Round 1: twicet vs. g3no
The first match of the playoffs saw TwiceT going up against German community representative g3no. Both matches were over relatively quickly, as TwiceT got the chip lead and gradually chipped away his opponent's stack with some unconventional donk bets and bluff raises. These moves seemed to have confused g3no, who was eliminated after two games but received a $1,000 cash prize.
Polish community champion szuru was waiting in Round 2 and he would already get $2,500. However, he was also unable to keep up with TwiceT's unconventional play style and after rougly 10 minutes, the first game was already over. The Polish PokerStrategist did recover at some points during the second game with some well-timed calls, but that was not enough to secure the victory and TwiceT moved on to Round 3.
The English - French battle was expected to be the toughest one from the playoffs. Both players have a lot of skill and experience, which is why all matches were rather balanced. Maxippouce did manage to recover at some points during this match series, but he could only take one game away from TwiceT. Thanks to this result, French community champion Maxippouce was rewarded with a prize of $5,000, while TwiceT advanced to the League of Champions Grand Final.
The final round was the moment everyone was waiting for but it was not an easy one for TwiceT. Despite winning the first game in just three hands with a better straight, the next ones were much tougher, as Hungarian PokerStrategist arem gave TwiceT a run for his money.
The action went on for over one hour in game #2 and at one point, they were playing three heads-up tables at the same time. arem showed a strong and aggressive play style, which was quite hard for TwiceT to crack, especially since he had to overcome massive chip deficits in all the last three games to actually claim the League of Champions trophy.
