Black Member Event XI - The Recap
The weekend is over and so is the Black Member Event. Several hundred guests celebrated in Leipzig with PokerStrategy.com and our sponsor PokerStars. Read on for the full recap.
Last weekend Leipzig saw the eleventh edition of the Black Member Event powered by PokerStars and it promised to be a superb weekend for all Black Members.
PokerStrategy.com was live on site and kept you up-to-date with a continued coverage, photos and even a live stream.
Friday kicked off with Black Members and their partners arriving at the hotel. Coming from Germany, Russia, Spain, Netherlands, France, Poland, Portugal, Hungary and Austria, quite a few of them had travelled many miles and they were warmly greeted with a champagne reception. The reception was followed by the Grand Dinner at the hotel.

The Saturday

The Saturday gave all Black Members with a taste for culture the chance to take a tour of the city, while those into sports were taken to a bowling alley for an action-packed bowling event. The tournament ended with Henning, marketing staff at PokerStars, being crowned the bowling champion of the Black Member Event.
With all guests back at the hotel, the Saturday afternoon was filled with a workshop hosted by PokerStars and a presentation by Tobias Georgi, who introduced the new concept for Black Member Events.

After a packed Saturday morning and afternoon, it was time for the highlight of the weekend, the Black Member Party. Hosted on the 29th floor at the Panorama Tower, the location offered spectacular views over Leipzig by night.
The party kicked into high gear right from the start, a continuous stream of champagne fuelled the night and the DJ kept the party jumping until early in the morning.
Those who needed to slow down for a while could kick back in one of the chill-out areas or enjoy the view on the roof of the building, 120 meters above the city.
The party saw its peak when a 15 litre bottle of champagne got cracked and its content was distributed among the guests, heating up the atmosphere even further.
The Black Members partied until the wee morning hours - a successful closing to an extraordinary weekend.

A ticket for EPT Vienna
Sponsor PokerStars didn't show up empty-handed at the Black Member Event. As a special surprise, they brought a ticket to EPT Vienna which is set to take place from October 26 - 31. This time it's up to you, the community, to decide who will be able to go. All Black Members had the chance to record a 30-second video clip to explain why they are the right choice for the ticket.
In the following days you can decide which application you like best - be prepared for plenty of fun videos!
