Congratulations to who has reached a major milestone this week, breaking through the 10,000 posts mark across both our own community and of course the German/other communities.
I couldn't actually locate 's very first post in the English Community, so can't embarrass him with that at the moment, but as you will no doubt be aware, spends a lot of time helping members out with coaching, passing on experience and posting fun things in the Fun & Off Topic threads.

: Blinding out (with double stack) when got this hand. Probably should have just passed to preserve my stack. Any thoughts on play - wrong board for c-bet, maybe? Loose call on river or ok?
Judge ysessa: i dont like your cbet against a thinking player because he can play c/r with any2 on this board you have to fold such a large part of your range and you only represent an overpair. so i cb and hope for improvement on the turn. river is close since he knows that you will call any king and he will sometimes have a king beat.

A big warm welcome to all new community members this week. Included amongst them is randomly chosen new community member of the week paradisebaby who joined us on the 6th of May.

Our community amassed winnings of $5,414.26 this week.
Congratulations to all our winners/other performances, which included:
- dante63s was on the bad beat jackpot table and picked up $1,144. Nice one;
- 2dhades finished 5th in a $20k Guaranteed tourney;
- zenith88 won a $7.5k Guaranteed tourney;
- verre & p0kerqt both picked up runner-up finishes in tournaments;
- alejandrosh managed to cash in both the daily doubles (again!);
- smileyphil finished an excellent 93rd (from over 14,000 entries) in the first of the Full Tilt MiniFTOPS events.
Sorry I cannot name everyone each week, but I'll try to pick up a selection of different people each time. Keep posting those wins in this thread, we're still short of our $1,000,000 target, with a current total of $377,459.80.

PokerStrategy: How did your nickname come about, does it have any special meaning?
wasy8: Well my friends have called me Wasy for years (its just my last name shortened), and 8 was my rugby number.
PokerStrategy: How long have you been playing poker?
wasy8: Almost a year, I first started playing last summer. I had some friends that taught me the basics. We played a 6 person $20 buy-in with rebuys (only one person rebought) and I donked my way to a $140 win. Been hooked ever since.
PokerStrategy: Nice one. How would you describe your poker style and what variants are you currently playing?
wasy8: TAG. I'm currently grinding the $6.50 turbo 9-man SnG's on Full Tilt. Haven't played too much live yet, the casino tourney buy-ins around here are a little pricey for me at the moment.
PokerStrategy: If you had to have a theme tune to enter a poker tournament to (like boxers do when entering the ring), what would it be?
wasy8: Oh that's a tough one, there's so many that would be awesome to use. I'm gonna say Ace of Spades by Motorhead...no explanation needed.
PokerStrategy: Yep nice choice, dam that's going to be floating around my head all day now lol. 🙂
Who is your favourite poker pro?
wasy8: Tom Dwan is probably my favourite to watch, he just thinks the game on a much higher level than anyone else at the moment, total sicko. I like Phil Laak too, his table talk just makes me laugh every time.
PokerStrategy: What has been your biggest success/achievement in poker so far?
wasy8: I seem to run garbage in MTT's, so I guess I'm proud of building my bankroll up from my last $8 on Full Tilt to the roughly $700 it's at right now. Getting closer to reaching that first $1k 🙂
PokerStrategy: Sweet, well played 🙂 If you had the opportunity of playing a final table with a selection of people of your choice, who would be seated there with you?
wasy8: Tom Dwan, Phil Laak, Antonio Esfandiari, Gus Hansen, Andy Black, Brad Booth, Erica Schoenberg, Vanessa Rousso & Lacey Jones.
PokerStrategy: What do you like most about PokerStrategy?
wasy8: I love the community here, the people are awesome and it's great talking poker with people who for the most part have some idea about what they're talking about. The strategy sections here are just about as good as you'll find anywhere on the net.
PokerStrategy: Is there anyone in particular from the community you'd like to give a shout out to?
wasy8: I'll give a shout out to luborc, since he's the only other regular I've played with on Full Tilt.... keep grinding bro!
He also has a great blog. I like reading other SnG grinders' blogs.
PokerStrategy: What is/are your passions outside of poker?
wasy8: I curl very competitively, currently playing on a top junior team right now (and it's my last year of junior eligibility, so the pressure's on to succeed!). I used to play rugby and football (American) as well, unfortunately I don't have the time to play any more.
PokerStrategy: If you could have 3 wishes (Harry Potter style), what would you wish for?
wasy8: A Mercedez-Benz SLR McLaren (check it out, Phil Ivey drives it... sick car), A house (I need to move out but can't afford it ATM) and a big bankroll to play the big money tourneys.
PokerStrategy: What really bugs you in life?
wasy8: Negativity.... power of positive thinking FTW!
PokerStrategy: Is there anything you would like to add or say to your fellow community members before we finish?
