Helemaalnicks Back on Track: First Place on $60 Leaderboards
After a nearly 4 month period of downswings and misfortune, helemaalnicks is once again on the upwards course. His latest achievement was finishing 1st on the PokerStars $60 SNG leaderboards.
As readers of his blog will know, things have not always gone well for 
helemaalnicks. During the course of the last four months, several large downswings took with them a large part of his bankroll and after his neteller account was compromised and emptied out, things seemed to have reached an all time low. Yet as the saying goes 'there is always light at the end of the tunnel'.
In the beginning of June, while fighting with neteller to recover his lost money, helemaalnicks started grinding back his bankroll using his remaining FPP. He did this with quite some success and after finally receiving back his stolen money - he once again had enough bankroll to start playing the $27 SNGs on PokerStars. Running well, he quickly moved up to the $38 SNGs, which he also beat in convincing fashion. Soon his bankroll allowed him to return to $60 SNGs in which he managed to place tied for first in the Battle of the Planets leader-boards.
For helemaalnicks who holds our 
SNG Advanced coachings on Wednesday from 22:55 - 0:55 CET together with unam1337, this means a total of $1,000 in prizes from the Battle of the Planets.
When questioned to his success and how he managed to deal with his long downswing helemaalnicks answered:
"I learned that at times, one can be very unlucky. It's hard to go through if you lose so much, while playing well. What's important, is that at some point, you gotta stop looking for excuses, and work on your game.
The money I made this month is ok, but the feeling I have, while playing vs regulars @ 60$ sng's, knowing I'm better then them, is priceless, and is hopefully a first step of a dream coming true.
