PokerStrategy.com's newest video features Byron playing a Superturbo Rush MTT and explaining his thoughts along the way- and then Jonathan gets to comment on that video.
The format should allow players not only to gain an increased understanding of Superturbo Rush tournaments, but also to understand the types of tournament mistakes that even an excellent player might still make.
So, How Did This Format Come About?
"I have previously watched session review videos where the coach has played over hand histories. These are usually good but as a player trying to learn more about the game I thought it would be interesting to hear the thoughts of the student before hearing the coach explain why these ideas are right or wrong. I suggested this idea to Jonathan for an MTT series and he liked it so we decided to make a series.
I have played over all the completed videos and I think they work well, so I am optimistic that Pokerstrategy.com members will like the series. My current situation with MTT play is that I am (I think) fairly competent but not much more than that. I am trying to plug leaks and pick up on a lot more +EV spots so that I can push through to the next level".
After the creation of the video, jonathanlittle added:
"I greatly enjoyed working with Byron on this video series. While he is an excellent player, as you will see, I found a few leaks in his game that he can easily plug to significantly increase his win rate. I am looking forward to hearing everyone’s comments."
