Patrick 'Pleno1' Leonard has a six-figure winning Sunday
In his weekly Community Round-Up Barry Carter celebrates a big victory for Pleno1 and previews the week ahead at PokerStrategy.com.
A few weeks ago I joked that my only chance in the PokerStrategy.com Heads-Up Championships was to hope most of my opponents get disqualified and I win by default.
However, against all odds, I have made it through to Round 4. This was by virtue of a bye in the first round, getting quite lucky against my opponent in the second round, and I like to think playing quite well last night in my third round.
I've really enjoyed the event so far. It's been fun to actually get to know my opponent before, during and after the match, and regardless of the money at stake, I really want to win each one.
So I was feeling quite good about my game after my victory last night. Until:

It looks like he took the lion's share in the PokerStars Sunday Warm-up after a three-way chop. Not bad, not bad at all.
I'd be surprised if he doesn't make a video about his big weekend. I'll spare you my own hand history analysis of my $2 victory last night.
Thread of the week

happa2 asked are all professionals addicts? He cited a list of questions asked by Gamblers Anonymous to prove if someone has a gambling problem, and suggested most poker professionals would answer yes to them.
Things like have you ever gambled to pay debts, and did gambling ever effect your reputation?
It's important not to dismiss things like Gamblers Anonymous, but it is also important to realise that poker is a skill game and poker is a profession - and it is unlikely that Gamblers Anonymous had factored either of these scenarios into their questioning.
LOL of the week
