The 2012 PokerStars World Championship of Online Poker played out the $5,200 Main Event on Sunday and Monday, with 1,825 players hoping for a shot at the seven-figure first prize.

Among them was PokerStrategy.com coach TeddyTheKiller (Jossel2008 on PokerStars), who played for almost a full 24 hours to navigate the field and finish in 3rd place. After a six-way deal had been agreed previously, he left with $814,602.12 - the largest online score for a PokerStrategy.com coach!

We managed to get a quick word with him before his well-deserved rest; he said that the score hasn't quite sunk in yet. "At the moment [the $814,000] just a figure on PokerStars. Of course I'm happy, but I haven't celebrated yet."

The eventual winner of the event was Russian player 'maratik', who locked up $900,907.26 in the deal plus an extra $100,000 for his victory over 'TheCart3r' heads-up.

Amazingly, 'maratik' qualified to this $5,200 buy-in event using solely PokerStars' Frequent Player Points (FPPs), turning 100 FPPs into a $5,200 ticket and a million dollar payday.

Day 2 of the WCOOP Main Event began with 245 players left and the money bubble burst within an hour after 20 players had hit the rail.

After 22 hours of play, 'TeddyTheKiller' arrived at the final table third in chips, with 55 big blinds and the luxury of 30-minute levels, holding this position until play was six-handed and a deal was struck.

He then lost a chunk of his stack in a three-way pot that eliminated fifth-place finisher 'sly caveat'; calling a raise from the small blind our coach check-called two streets of a board before the river checked through and our coach's lost out to .

'TeddyTheKiller' would last another ten hands as 'TheCart3r' extended his lead by eliminating 'munchenHB'. In his final hand he saw the river of a board and his bet was raised. Our coach called off his stack with only to be shown and was eliminated in 3rd place.
