Tobi Block

Hello everyone,

It's me, Tobi. Only a few days now before it kicks off:  The WSOP 2012 begins. Every ambitious poker player in the world will be in Vegas when it comes down to playing for the lusted after bracelets, and when the enormous prize pools are paid out – and I am happy to once again be the one here reporting to you about it.

I can reveal to you that we will again be releasing video interviews on a daily basis, as well as a detailed round-up with all bracelet winners; and we will of course be paying special attention to how the German players get on. I can tell you, I'm like a small kid a few days before christmas, I just can't wait for it to start.

The time spent at the WSOP is unique - not only because lots of poker friends are in Vegas, but also because poker players quickly tend enjoy life to the full during their stay, which means it never gets boring even away from the Rio. It is always worth paying a visit to one of the many excellent restaurants, or to spend time poolside with beer and snacks, then in the evening to head off to one of the good clubs (XS, Tao).

Any money left over is typically spent the next morning at the poker table. Strangely enough I play best when drunk, or maybe just less bad. Solid d-game ftw! I wonder how far I will get this year.

Keep watching interviews

Look forward to lots of interviews!

At this point, I would like to once again express my dismay at the fact the the O'Sheas Casino closed down a month ago. Degenerate side bet junkies and talented beer pong players have lost a home!

thorsten77 especially has been seen before in the early hours of the morning, alone, crouching in a corner, attempting to throw pebbles into empty beer cups, but I guess that should be put down to variance.

Will we be able to celebrate a German bracelet again?

Hm.. what is left to say? I am preparing myself for the usual couple of bad run stories. As we all know, it is in the nature of our favorite game that most players go back home with losses, but also, and this is what separates the wheat from the chaff, trying to accept this.

I myself am sure that each and every one of the participants will be extremely motivated to come away with one of the bracelets! It's a shame that I won't personally be able to take part in a WSOP event. $3,000 Omaha/NL-Heads Up Event...I was really looking forward to you.

Tobi Block with WSOP main event champion Pius Heinz

I'll see you very soon at the WSOP!

Yours AdminTobias Block
