Video Discussion - The Double Float
This week's video takes a look at a double float at a PCA High Rollers Event final table. Three flat calls and a shove on the river with air. But was this executed to perfection or were there mistakes from either player along the way? Watch inside and tell us what you think.
This week we watch Dutch poker pro Michiel Brummelhuis makes a huge bluff against William Reynolds during the 2010 PCA High Roller Event final table.
He call a pre-flop raise in position, calls the flop bet, calls the turn bet and then ships it all-in on the river with air.
What do you think?
What do you think of Brummelhuis' play on all 4 streets of this hand? Is it a double float executed to perfection or are there strategic flaws?
Is calling with this hand pre ever going to be +ev, is king high good enough to defend the flop? Is calling the turn with minimal equity ever good? Can he rep hearts or a Jack enough times in this spot?
There's a lot to think about and discuss so join other PokerStrategists and let us know your opinion here.
Last week's video discussion: durrrr Jams for $490k With 7-2
Last week we took a look at durrrr shoving almost half a million dollars into a $160k pot on the river with 7-2 off...no pair. There was a lot of discussion across the communities and it's definitely worth a watch.
