Is poker for a living moral?
Wow, this is a surprising debate in our forums which has been taking place now for several years.
The debate is about whether it is right to make a living taking money from others, and that poker is not a productive vocation for society.
You would think on a poker forum that such a debate would be one-sided, but it seems many of you have wrestled with this topic. Join the thread and have your say.
Learning to win
What is the best format for a beginner? That's what wants to know, as he is pondering if No Limit Hold'em is the best game to start with, for his wife.
Lots of different opinions, and even 5-card draw gets a mention. I'm personally inclined to think either No Limit SNGs or Limit Hold'em are the way to go. You learn all the basics of hold'em, but in a less complex format with a cap to how much you can lose.
