More than $100 million guaranteed this May

Tomorrow kicks off a massive month of tournament action with four major online series at PokerStars, partypoker, 888poker and RedKings.

SCOOP 2018

Back in September we've witnessed one of the largest months in online poker when many of the biggest rooms were hosting their marquee online festivals, guaranteeing a staggering prize pool of roughly $105 million.

This May, the same thing is about to happen, even topping the previous total guarantee by another $3 million for a total of more than $108 million that will be dished out in major festivals this month, with three of those all starting tomorrow on May 6th.

Amongst those will be this year's edition of the Spring Championship of Online Poker (SCOOP) at PokerStars, guaranteeing $65 million in 183 tournaments, as usual available in three different categories as Low, Mid and High events.

Simultaneously, the next edition of the partypoker Powerfest will feature a $40 million guarantee, the biggest ever offered at the room, in 366 events including 17 Championship trophies as well as 13 events with a guaranteed prize pool of at least $1,000,000.

Elsewhere the MPN Network, hosting our partner room RedKings, will also be starting their Universal Championship of Poker tomorrow with a guaranteed prize pool of €500,000 and on May 10th 888poker is going to join the frenzy with their XL Inferno and another $3 million in guarantees in 36 events.

One huge Sunday on May 20th

As before, all four series will culminate in a massive Main Event Sunday on May 20th, offering more than $15 million in guarantees on this day alone.

Amongst those tournaments will be seven Championship events of the Powerfest, including the High Roller Championship as well as the Super High Roller and High Roller PKO Championship, each guaranteeing a prize pool of at least $1 million.

The SCOOP will culminate on the same day with three Main Events featuring a $109 buy-in with $1.5 million guaranteed, $1,050 buy-in with $4 million guaranteed and a $10,300 buy-in with $5 million guaranteed.

Additionally, players will also get to enjoy the series highlights of the UCOP on that Sunday with a €30,000 High Roller and a €40,000 Main Event while 888poker is going to end their XL Inferno with the $50,000 Micro Main Event with a $30 buy-in, the $200,000 Mini Main Event with a $160 buy-in, and the $1,000,000 Main Event with a $1,050 buy-in.
