The poker community's largest tournament database, TheHendonMob.com, has just been acquired by the Global Poker Index.
Over the past 12 years TheHendonMob.com has forged links with over 1,000 casinos and become the industry's most comprehensive database of results, fixtures, and rankings.
Incorporating the site into their own ranking system, GPI CEO Alexandre Dreyfus stated that he plans to support the website by expanding its reach and membership benefits.
Following the announcement, recent WSOP bracelet winner and one of the founding members of the Hendon Mob, Barny Boatman, told forum members that the deal will ensure that the site's "future is secure."

It may have only kicked off last Thursday, but PokerStars' fifth MicroMillions festival has already crowned 45 champions.
While grinders from across the world have been able to ante up just a few dollars to compete for vast prizepools, it hass been those from Russia who have proved the most successful.
Indeed, a look at the current Player of the Series leaderboard reveals five Russians within the top ten. Leading the way with 260 points is Russia's "JustProSkill", just ahead of Germany's "bastet2004" (240 points) and Russian grinder, "FENOMENICO" (220 points).
With the halfway point fast approaching, the race for Player of the Series title and accompanying $5,200 WCOOP Main Event seat looks set to heat up over the next few days.
Dwan and Sulsky on multi-accounting

A debate about high stakes multi-accounting featuring Ben "Sauce123" Sulsky and Tom "durrrr" Dwan has broken out on 2+2.
Following a lengthy opening post by "pentiumtwoplustwo" in which he quotes various instances of multi-accounting, both Sulsky and Dwan have joined the discussion.
Amongst the forum regulars, Sulsky was the first to offer an informed opinion, stating: "MAing is a pretty solid advantage and it gets to be a bigger advantage the better the player you are".
Dwan soon joined the conversation, taking a more tolerant view of the issue by saying: "a lot of people have multi-accounted against me and unless it's a personal friend I don't think it's that big of a deal".
Ben Grundy and Dani "Ansky" Stern have also offered their thoughts, with the latter expressing his disappointment at Dwan's apparent apathy towards the issue.

"Rhje2" soared to the top of the daily high stakes leaderboard earlier today thanks to a $309,942 haul.
Despite playing just 281 hands, the online pro was able to move ahead of "Call_911" ($214,760) and jenskyllonen ($98,978) who also enjoyed profitable days.
While "Rhje" was banking over $300,000, "ragen70" was losing a similar amount and taking the ominous title of the day's biggest loser.
After grinding through 659 hands, "ragen70" found himself with a $329,864 deficit, which was enough to put him ahead of "1Il|1Il|1il|" who dropped $149,903.
Daily Signoff
Jared Bleznick was one player called out in the recent multi-account thread and judging by Patrik Antonius's reaction to him in this clip he's not the most popular player on the high stakes scene.
