Ivey laughs at Dan Bilzerian's 'broke' rumours

Ivey doesn't care
Phil Ivey doesn't really know what's going on in the poker world unless someone brings it up to him according to a recent interview with Bluff Magazine.
After discussing how he used a fake ID in his younger days to gain access to poker games in Atlantic City, Phil addresses the recent rumours about him being broke.
Preferring to smile and laugh off the accusations rather than go on the offensive, Phil says he's never played a hand with Dan Bilzerian but if he wants to make things up then that's his decision.
In typically coy fashion, Phil's look when asked about Bilzerian gives away more than his words, which probably means that he has some hasher things to say about the trust fund baby off camera.
Away from the topic of poker rumours, Phil calls Chip Reese one of the best players he's ever faced and that he doesn't want to take his record for being the youngest inductee into the Hall of Fame.

Thanks to more than 300 players anteing up on Day 1B of this year's WPT Bay 101 Shooting Star event the tournament has hit a record high of 713 entrants.
Surpassing last season's total of 643 runners, the bounty event will see the first six levels of Day 2 reduced one hour each and the session run until 2:00 am in order to accommodate the unexpected influx of players.
On a day that set a new high, a number of stars fell as the session progressed including the likes of Vanessa Selbst, Ryan Riess, Dan Smith and recent WPT champion Chris Moorman (although most re-entered).
While pros were falling, Lucas Ke was lighting up the event and by the close of play he'd managed to amass 252,000 chips, collect the $10,000 end-of-day chip leader bonus and finish ahead of Ron Minnis (232,200) and Shankar Pillai (201,000).
HM2 continues to improve

The software development team at Holdem Manager HQ has just released another major update for the second version of their product.
Build 8004 contains a raft of new features, bug fixes and updates for HM2, including an improved preferred seat detection system for PokerStars.
Also released in the latest update for HM2 is a fix for the auto rating system in Table Scanner, improved hand importing via hotkeys and some minor tweaks to the presentation of the HUD.

Junglemandan Cates made a rare appearance at the top of the high stakes leaderboard yesterday after scooping $132,558. That haul, in conjunction with Monday's profit, puts the American pro up by $520,401 in the last 48 hours. Also hitting a high on Tuesday night was 'mikki696' and Niklas 'ragen' Heinecker who banked $123,111 and $105,632 respectively.
Failing to turn a profit in the last 24 hours and topping the loss table for a second day in a row was Viktor Blom. The kamikaze Swede dropped $215,874 to finish the day ahead of 'samrostan' and 'ronnyr37617' on the daily deficit leaderboard.
