A Phil Ivey documentary is in the works

One of poker's biggest enigmas could be revealing all in a documentary about his life, currently being filmed at the WSOP.

Despite being one of the biggest names in the game, Phil Ivey remains very much a mystery in the poker world. He is famously very shy and guarded, despite being known for crushing the biggest games in poker. 

That looks set to change as a documentary about his life is being filmed right now. 

No further details as yet, but a film crew has been spotted following Ivey around and letting people know they may appear on it if they walk into shot:

Ivey's story really has the potential to make for a captivating documentary and hopefully it will be available somewhere widespread like Netflix. There is such a deep well to tap from in terms of content including his early days playing underage, his heads-up matches with Andy Beal, the Rail Heaven days at Full Tilt, his 10 WSOP bracelets and his infamous edge-sorting cases. 

We could be in for a rich period of poker documentaries as there is also a Doyle Brunson documentary being produced. Given Ivey and Doyle are friends, it would not be a surprise if there was some sort of crossover between the two.
