Brian Hastings retires from poker

Hastings quits poker
When a poker player says they are retiring, they very rarely do, just ask Fedor Holz. So take it with a pinch of salt that Brian Hastings is leaving the game behind.
In a blog post he revealed he was retiring to work on a new company called UniTea.
Unlike recent retiree Holz, Hastings has had a controversial poker career. He has three WSOP bracelets and holds the record for the biggest winning day in online poker.
However, that same day where he won $4.2 million from Viktor Blom, he became shrouded in infamy because it was revealed he shared hand histories with Brian Townsend to win the match. Last year he was embroiled in a multi accounting scandal.
Team Liquid sign Randy Lew
The bridge between poker and eSports is getting narrower as Randy 'nanonoko' Lew is now officially both a PokerStars Pro and a Team Liquid Pro.
Just like his colleague ElkY he is now representing PokerStars for poker and Team Liquid to play Hearthstone.
KidPoker's money is no good
When you are dealing with large wire transfers it is understandable there will be a lot of red tape involved, but you would think that the most famous poker player in the world might get a little leeway.
Last week Daniel Negreanu tried to play in the SHRPO $50,000 High Roller event, but found that his wire transfer was frozen. As you can tell from his tweets, he wasn't happy:
No 50k tourney for me I guess. Sent my wire to @shrpo, they received it, but won't release the money to me. Too steamed to borrow, buh bye.
