Chris Moorman wins $1 million and the WPT LAPC title
In today's Daily Rewind we congratulate Chris Moorman on his first WPT win and approve the idea of tournament shot clocks.
Moorman finally does it
Chris Moorman might have racked up multiple tournament titles and more than $10 million in online winnings, but success in a major live event has always eluded him.
However, in the last 24 hours Chris managed to fulfil his potential and take down the $10,000 WPT L.A. Poker Classic Main Event.
After grinding his way past more than 500 players, the plucky Brit found himself at the final table and in with a shot at the $1,015,460 top prize late last night.
Despite Michael Rocco dominating the table at the start of the session, Chris stayed strong and as the likes of Adam Friedman and Patrick Bruel hit the rail he was able to thrive.
By the time just three players remained, a three-way all-in resulted in Rocco leaving the table in third and Chris just a few chips behind Glenn Lafaye.
After a back-and-forth exchange heads-up, Chris eventually clinched the final pot and his first major title when his pocket aces faded Lafaye's straight draw with 
.
With that, Lafaye slipped away to collect his $662,840 consolation prize while Chris celebrated his victory with his friends.

Swim with sharks
Ahead of its next Shark Cage tournament, PokerStars has released a preview of its first event from the Bahamas.
Forming part of the recent PCA schedule, the TV tournament featured a slew of pros and two lucky amateurs who were tasked with qualifying for the $1 million finale which will take place in London.
Aside from a 30-second shot clock on every street, a "no bluff" rule was in effect which forced bluff victims to sit in the cage for an orbit as punishment.
Shark Cage satellites are currently taking place on PokerStars and if you want to be part of the action you need to finish within the top 50 of a qualifier before submitting an audition video explaining why you'd be an entertaining contestant.

After polling players earlier this week, the WPT has announced that 80% of those asked are in favour of shot clocks.
In a blog post written by Mike Sexton, the tour ambassador said:
"I'm happy to announce that players voted 80%-20% in favour of the shot clock. And there were many added suggestions that certainly will be considered."
He went on to say that he is hoping to see "some type of 'shot clock' incorporated by the WPT for Season XIII."
Following the news, Antonio Esfandiari publically supported the decision and looks forward to punishing "slow-playing wizards".
