Kristen Foxen wins sixth WSOP bracelet

A career-best victory in the $25,000 High Roller Tournament confirms Kristen Foxen's place as one of the greatest players the game has ever seen.

History was made at the World Series of Poker, as it often is when Kristen Foxen is involved. She has just captured her sixth WSOP bracelet, extending her lead in the women's all-time bracelet rankings. 

It was also a career best score for Foxen as she took down the star-studded $25,000 High Roller event for $1,773,083. She defeated Galen Hall heads up at a final table that included Biao Ding and Joey Weissman. 

This event attracted a field of 345 players and is one of the few No Limit Hold'em events this year that has seen an increase in numbers, as last year it attracted 336.

The accolades keep on coming

It's always quite difficult to know exactly how to frame Kristen Foxen's victories in poker because while undoubtedly she is the torchbearer for women's poker, she is also clearly one of the best poker players in the world full stop. 

She now boasts $18,970,494 in all-time career earnings, which will put her 80th in the all-time money rankings and fifth in the Canada rankings. She has almost twice as much in career earnings as her nearest rival, Vanessa Selbst, in the women's all-time money list, and the most bracelets of any female player. The only major female accolade she doesn't hold is that of the largest single poker prize, which is the $2.8 million won by Liv Boeree at WSOP Paradise. 

Perhaps most notably, she joins a very exclusive list of poker players with six or more bracelets, something which only 27 people can claim. 

All of which are in No Limit Hold'em and three of which were online bracelets. In her winner interview, she said that this bracelet meant so much to her because it was her first major No Limit Hold'em High Roller title where she defeated the best players in the world.
