Spraggy wins a WCOOP live on Twitch

We recap some stories you may have missed including the real names of the players left in the Main Event and Quads lose live on Twitch.

Spraggy takes down a WCOOP

He wasn't going to stream the first day of the World Championship of Online Poker, but he went deep in two events so he turned Twitch on.

Ben 'Spraggy' Spragg took down the $5.50 Turbo PKO event for $4,349 in the early hours of Monday morning, defeating a field of 12,192 and in front of a Twitch audience of almost 6,000.

However, the real highlight was this celebration:

The Dang Brothers profiled

Dang
The Dang Brothers

One of the 'poker retirements' that actually followed through was when Di 'Urindanger' Dang and his brother Hac 'trex313' Dang quit the world of nosebleed cash games to open a restaurant.

They were two of the biggest winners on Full Tilt at a time when the games were the biggest they have ever been, but they left it all behind to open 'Chasin' Tails' in Virginia.

This week the Washingtonian profiled the two brothers from their days at the felt to struggling to keep a restaurant going during the lockdown.

The MSPT is back

Very few major live tournaments have returned to the poker schedule since lockdown restrictions started to ease, but last week the Midstakes Poker Tour was back in Iowa.

It was a record breaking field of 518 for the $1,000 event and was taken down by Mark Collins for $107,706.

It was a mostly normal affair, but of course this shot of the final table all wearing masks would be considered weird at any other time in poker history.

The final 38 named

The final 38 players in the WSOP Main Event had screen names which included toilet_water, BeatMeater and smbdySUCKme, which obviously was not going to help the prestige of the online event. Yesterday the real names of the 38, who resume play on Saturday, were revealed to the poker public:

Proof it really does happen

If you are lucky you will only run into this sort of cooler once, but it is very unlikely it will happen on stream like this....
