WSOP Main Event down to three players
A European is guaranteed to win the title now as the Main Event pauses overnight.
The 2014 World Series of Poker Main Event is down to three players and tomorrow one man will walk away $10 million richer.
Whoever it is, it will be a European champion, as Jorryt Van Hoof of the Netherlands, Martin Jacobson of Sweden and Felix Stephensen of Norway are the last men standing.
The story of the night has to be Jorryt Van Hoof, who used his starting chip lead to good effect all night, winning most of the pots uncontested.
However, established pro Martin Jacobson managed to come back several times from a short stack to being hot on his heels in a tight final three. Alongside Stephensen, this final table is far from over.
Spare a thought for back-to-back November Niner Mark Newhouse, who for the second year in a row finished in 9th place. This is what he tweeted earlier this summer when he initially bought in:
