Who will be the next player to win ten bracelets?

With so many high-profile players closing in on ten bracelets in the last three years, we ponder who might be the next player to get to double figures.

I remember a time when the only players who got to ten bracelets did so in a literal lifetime, and who benefited from a much softer period before the boom with much smaller fields. 

However, I think the 2026 World Series of Poker will be remembered as the series where some of the best modern players of all time threw their hat into the ring as contenders to one day overtake Phil Hellmuth in the bracelet rankings. 

We've already seen Kristen Fox, Adrian Mateos, and Yuri Dzivielevski claim their sixth bracelets, all at relatively young ages. We've also seen Calvin Anderson claim his seventh and Nick Schulman capture his eighth. 

Then we've had heroics in recent years from Shaun Deeb, Benny Glaser, Scott Seiver, and Michael Mizrachi, all very active players currently at the top of their game with many great years ahead of them. 

No Limit is a viable route again

In previous years, I've made the claim that if anyone is going to overtake Phil Hellmuth in the bracelet counts, they need to be a young mixed games player who also plays online. 

I still contend that this is the best route to winning lots of bracelets. However, in recent years, it seems like the Super High Roller events at the World Series of Poker have made No Limit Hold'em a viable route, if not to overtake Hellmuth, then at least to get to 10 bracelets lifetime. 

Kristen Foxen and Adrian Mateos, for example, both have six No Limit bracelets, which seemed almost impossible not too long ago. Both of them have online bracelets and High Roller bracelets. 

The reason why mixed games is such a viable route to large bracelet hauls is that the fields are much smaller, with potentially more edge to the best players. The edges are incredibly small in No Limit High Roller tournaments, but the fields are tiny compared to other bracelet events. 

A three horse race?

Recently, I've decided that I think Yuri Dzivielevski is the man to one day defeat Phil Hellmuth in the bracelet counts.

He is arguably the best mixed game player in the world right now. He has also won online bracelets and this month has shown that he can hold his own in no limit High Roller tournaments as well. The big factor, however, is his age. He is just thirty-four years old, so he has youth on his side, too.

However, when it comes to the next player who will win 10 bracelets, I think this is a three-horse race between Shaun Deeb, Benny Glaser, and Nick Schulman. I'm obviously picking low-hanging fruit here because they all have eight bracelets, making them the closest. 

My gut says Nick Schulman, but my head says Shaun Deeb. The reason I probably put money on Deeb over the other two is that he also overtly prioritises the World Series of Poker Player of the Year race. To the point where he sometimes play in multiple events at the same time. Ultimately, I think volume is king where tournament poker is concerned, so that's why I'd go with Deeb.

The next player with ten No Limit Hold'em bracelets, I think, clearly is a two-horse race between Kristen Foxen and Adrian Mateos. I have to bet on Mateos for that because he is also very young, and generally speaking, I consider him to be the best No Limit Hold'em tournament player in the world, so I would be silly to bet against him.
