A few weeks ago we have shown you, how to react when you are confronted with an all-in. As a result, you should already have an understanding of how your decision process should develop in a spot where you are facing an open push from a player in an earlier position.
It is always best to base your calculations on player-specific reads and risk-premium considerations in the exact stack setup you are facing. However, from a practical standpoint, it is not feasible to perform detailed calculations every time you are facing such a spot.
In time you should develop the right intuition. Until then it is good to have a shortcut to use in default, readless, average spots. This is exactly what the new lesson is about.
We will introduce several charts with an average risk premium for the different types of SNGs. We have also created a chart for the standard pushing ranges of your opponents and another, more extensive chart, with calling ranges against the different pushing ranges.
