Hi all.
Well, as long as the servers are down I thought I might make a simple guide. At the moment I am farming "The Warden" and "The Butcher" on inferno for gear, and soon done with act 2. I am playing with my friends(Monk, wizard and Doctor) when progressing. Else I am farming on my own. The Wizard can take The Warden and The Butcher on his own too, however it seems to be harder for him. The Monk and the Doctor can't do it yet.
A run gives me around 8-10 rares, and takes 25-35 mins. The first packs of champions or rares(in inferno - halls of agony lvl 2) can drop lvl 60 items too, so its worth it to search the whole areas to get all of them down. And furthermore I want the MF buff to stack 5 times, adding 75% MF. The Warden drops around the same amount of items as The Butcher, so its simply plain stupid not to take him down too.
Abilities that I use.
Actives:
Frenzy with Maniac - We do need some damage, even though we have stun chance proc's on bash and even frenzy. Furthermore there are a lot of mobs(named and bosses) that are immune to our stun proc's, which makes them rather useless.
Revenge with Provocation - This doesn't really need any explanation. Simply our best skill.
Ground Stomp with Wrenching Smash - We need a stun, and it actually stuns named and bosses too. I use the rune "Wrenching Smash" to gather then up, so that I benefit as much as possible from Revenge and Overpower since they heal per enemy hit.
Overpower with Revel - Even though its not as good as Revenge, its a life saver. Its mostly there for the few times where revenge simply doesn't proc. IMO a very overlooked ability.
War cry with Immunity- On hell I used "Invigorate". But on inferno resistance is the king. I had a very hard time with champions with Molten, arcane enchanted and so on, before I stacked resistance. Now I can actually stay in those AoE damage abilities.
Wrath of the berserker with Insanity - Again, some might want "ignore pain with iron hide", but I found that with revenge and overpower the problem isn't the damage I take, but the movement impairing effects(Frozen and jailing). While in Wrath of the berserker, we cant be snared by those. And furthermore, we need the damage to actually be able to take down champions and rares.
Passives:
Nervers of steel - With a lot of vitality comes a lot of armor.
Superstition - Again, inferno is all about resists so far.
Berserker Rage - We need damage, as I stated a couple of times before. And with this build I have no fury consuming abilities so its up all the time. Simply the best damage passive with this build.
My Stats(server down cant remember the exact numbers):
Str: 1200
Vit: 1000 - Life 58.000
All resists: 600-650.
Armor: 6.800
Damage: 9.000 before full fury and frenzy full up, after that its around 13.500
Tactics:
Now, this build uses its damage to take down one of the 3 champions(or the rare before minions) with Wrath of the berserker. Most champions are pretty easy after you have taken down the first. For rares, depending on the abilities they have, you might wanna go the its minions first(on inferno, all rares have minions with the same abilities as itself). Remember to save Overpower for those few moments where Revenge isn't up.
When playing coop with my friends, then Threatening Shout with Demoralize is a big contender to Wrath of the Berserker with Insanity. The taunting ability saves lives.
Else there aren't much to say yet. If people find it useful then I am happy.
Cu out there, my fellow Barbarians. And as "Dave the black orc" said in Warhammer when he stood alone on a hill watching thousands of mobs coming towards him "OH YEAH, BRING IT!!!
