What a great day, Wednesday is our day off (my girlfriend and I). As the weather is very nice today, we decided to go to the lake near here to relax.
It was really enjoyable, reading a book, listening to a poker podcast and took some time to work on my mindset, which I did by doing a mediation session through an application on my phone. I'm starting to notice that working on my mindset has a positive reaction to playing poker but also to my personal life. I am much more disciplined and relaxed. I also notice this at the poker table, I play much more focused and make a lot fewer mistakes! Around 15.00 hours we went home, where I worked out in the gym for another hour. Totally relaxed.
I also notice that I start to see patterns on which board opponents bet and I have to fold or vice versa. I hope that this will give me an advantage in my game more often. Although I am still looking for positions where I need to show more aggression.
Tonight I played 2 sessions of 45 minutes, where I had to play very tight because of many players limping and got few good hands. 15/10 on about 700 hands. I think I made a slight profit, but the important thing is that I played well.
Although I still have to get rid of the mindset where I think about the money too much. My game is more important than money. That will come naturally if I play well. If I beat my opponents because I have learned from my mistakes. And I will keep learning to play even better.
Feel positive, get motivated by failure.
