That is a pretty common pattern for MTTs.
Do the 8-handed ones pay top 3 spots? If so, I wouldn't mind the 8-player format.

I've been disconnected from the internet for 5 days without any sort of fix. What a weird experience! You really use some kind of internet for almost everything you do nowadays. So happy to have it back! I guess the games where pretty good while I was away from the tables?

I sattelited into the $150 GGmasters 2day event through the WSOP satelites ($150 ticket is also valid for GGMasters). That will be a long sit, not my kind of thing, but I guess I am going to make an exception. Not sure when I'll play. Ticket valid for 1 year.
I have another WSOP $10 ticket to try to get another one, or a few bucks maybe ..

I thought he had some weak pair a lot when he called the flop, and certainly when he donked the river with a quick 'block'bet.
... He did tank for a long time though ... I should have made it a little bit bigger

I did this years ago, and not only have I forgotten how to calculate it, I've forgotten where I read it.

To remember:
bet / ( pot + bet)
9 / ( 8.5 + 3 + 9) = 9 / 20.5 = 43.9%
6 / (20.5 + 6) = 22.6%
And derived from:
p * pot = (1-p) * bet

I came up with this formula myself from scratch to see if I could do it with just simple logical steps (of course checked afterwards with existing formulas). But that's a long time ago. I don't remember how I did it and the file is gone with the busted harddrive. Can't really walk you through it.
It just went something like this, with logical steps:

let pot = 6
When we win, we win 6.
When we lose, we lose 2.
So for every time we win, we can lose pot/bet = 6/2 = 3 times.
So for every 3+1 = 4 times, we win 1 time and lose 3 times to break even, which is 25%
...
...
But I really don't remember how I came up with the formula.
That makes sense, I was thinking that pot odds were involved somehow.
I also found the spreadsheet from 2015 where I entered this and a bunch of other formulas.
Maybe I should open it to see if I can figure out what I did...

Well, the pot odds also consist out of the pot and bet variables, right?
bet = 2
pot = 6
pot odds = bet : pot = 2 : 6
perc = bet / (bet + pot) *100 = 2/8*100 = 25%

Ouch, that's a tough way to go out. Losing a 70/30 like TT vs ATo right at the finish line always stings. Still, another final table is a huge achievement! Consistency is what matters in the long run, and you're clearly hitting those deep runs. Congrats on the score!
