Somehow they break apart while I'm holding them.
I'm sure that they open the bottom flap, spew food and close back up when I'm not looking.

Some people like to fold both the bottom and the top over, and then cut the tortilla in half to make two smaller wraps with a clean edge. I tried it once, but it wasn't my thing.

Those egg salad wraps look good, btw.

I fold both ends. Than keep it in foil. When i start eating just from the top. If i eat it imediately fold 1 side start from other. May seem strenge question but i have tried a few ways. In the bezinning it was also strange for my family and colleges because in belgium its bread every day no question asked.

I´m not so sure if one can measure the calorie-output accurately, there are many factors which play a role: age, hormones, stress levels, sleep, genetics and temperature. I would just focus on a lower calorie input. That should be enough.

100% agree - just using the best info I have available - it's never going to be 100% accurate but it should be close enough.

If we look at last months figures over time it seems to be about on point - but yeah - never gonna be 100% wholly accurate.

Week in Review (27th Feb - 5th March)

Weight loss
Weigh-in on 1st March brought good news - 14 stone 11.5
No more weighing until the middle of the month or the end of the month - haven't decided!

Exercise:
All exclusively on the bike, of course.

Between Monday and Sunday, I cycled a total of 261km

Monday - 30km
Tuesday - 35km
Wednesday - 45km
Thursday - 35km
Friday - 45km
Saturday - 26km
Sunday - 45km

Total: 261km

The goal was 180km so we beat it and beat it well

Calories earned
My bike gives 15 calories per 1km (cannot say for sure how accurate this actually is but giving it the benefit of the doubt!)
Goal was 2,700 so, again, beat it by a big margin with 3,915

Cal deficits
I'm allowing 2,200 per day and adding in the cycling cals from above and then deducting from food taken (Again food deductions are non exact but the best I can do)

Goal for this week was to maintain the 1K avg daily deficiency and we did it! Had one sub 1K day with the rest above/well above it.

Monday - 1023 cal
Tuesday - 1030 cal
Wednesday - 1202 cal
Thursday - 1182 cal
Friday - 1167 cal
Saturday - 996 cal
Sunday - 1259 cal

Total: 7859 calls / 7 = 1123

Goals for this week
Taking Tuesday off as I'm working from the office so anything above 200 will be sufficient.

Cycle 200km+
Calories earned: 3,000+
Maintain 1,100 daily calorie deficit (increasing this as I am planning to cycle more!

Happy Monday

Getting ready for a rare day out tomorrow - working from home is nice and all but it's nice to see some colleagues once and a while and see the outside!

14 hour trip from leaving the house to getting back is the one huge negative though!

No cycling planned tomorrow might make it tougher to reach the goals this week - will worry about that another day - cannot be good every day and have to live with that realization!

Trip report
Thought I'd share a short trip report with you all.

Woke up at 5 am and made my way to the train station shortly before 6 am for the train leaving at 6:12.

I had already booked my ticket online but it has to be printed at the station before boarding - when I get there the station is closed! I manage to find a machine outside just as the train pulls in and I board successfully. It takes just over 2 hours and 15 minutes to reach Dublin.

From the station in Dublin, I must catch two trams - the first of which I get on at the third attempt due to overcrowding - not to worry I have plenty of time. I reach my first stop where I must switch trams and the timing is perfect I find a seat on the second tram and park my bum on a seat.

I was not sitting 6 seconds when an announcement is made that the whole tram service is down due to an electrical fault up the line! I remain on the tram for about 20 minutes - nothing changes - no updates other than they are still investigating.

At that point, it's 09:30 I am 40 minutes away from where I need to be so I decide to leave and find a bus (my ticket was covered with the bus) After a quick Google search I find I'm a 2-minute walk from where I need to be for the bus so I go up there. The bus is slated to leave at 09:56 and to its credit, it does leave on time and I get a good spot to sit.

39 stops and 40 minutes later I'm a 2-minute walk from the office - thank fuck!

Work is amazing, have a great day and leave again at 16:30 to make my way back to the train station and grab a quick bite before boarding.

I get to the ticket entry and I'VE LOST MY TICKET! I speak to an officer who informs me that I have to buy another ticket even though I show him my confirmation email etc. The ticket costs me more than I originally paid for the return ticket (€26 vs €25!) and I take my original seat (I had booked it) even though some randomer with no claim is sitting there! Turns out the train was supposed to have 5 carriages but only 4 were available - heh not my problem - it's a 2 hour 15-minute trip and I ain't standing!

Get home, unwind and sleep. The night before I was filled with anxiety and I had about 4 hours of sleep - crashed for 8 hours last night with no problem!

Weight
I was kind of anxious about the trip and not cycling yesterday and I wanted to see if my increased cycling was having an effect.

I weighed in this morning.....

Spoiler

14 stone, 7.5 lbs - (203.5 lbs)

Spoiler

4lbs lost in the first week of March

Train rides really are something... I had to commute by train every day about a decade ago, it wasn't pretty. But the worst thing was when I had a job during my student days that required going from train to train or bus to bus and doing quality assessment interviews... :f_mad:

All is well that ends well, though, right?

Genuinely don't mind the train trip as it beats driving in and around Dublin city. I'm a good driver in the countryside where I'm used to.... but I have not got the required Cojones to drive up there - it would shorten the journey to about 5 hours in total (round trip) but I don't have the nerve.

Exactly, I got there and back in one piece! All that matters at the end of the day!

Lunch today was fantastic

Wrap
70gs chicken (store bought - I will cook my own next time!)
30g iceberg lettuce
2g light mayo
2g sweet chilli sauce

320 calories

I'd usually have cheese (grated) and red onion diced but I didn't have them at hand.

Ah, yes, I would hate to drive in any big cities too. Hopefully, I will never have to.

Another advantage of train rides is that you can read, watch videos, and do all kinds of things while someone else takes care of the driving. I remember reading many Pokerstrategy articles during train rides back when I was still getting started with Hold'em.

Two new personal bests today

Cycled 55km throughout the day
Cycled 25km in one fell swoop

Buoyed on by the positive weigh-in this morning - let's keep it up!

Hey, I just noticed - those were a lot like the wraps I had yesterday. Except I used homemade ranch dressing for my sauce, and crispy fake chicken because it was my weekly vegetarian day. I also added some diced tomatoes, and yes, I did use some cheese. Didn't have any grated cheese either, so I just ripped a slice of cheddar apart.

Could have done this (sliced cheese) but even the lower fat cheese is 63 cals - I guess I could have done that in retrospect.

I'm not a massive tomato fan but I believe there's a few cherry tomatoes in the fridge that might make a guest appearance in tomorrow's wrap. Might go wild and add in half a slice of cheese too lol!

Stone is 14 lbs, so 6.35 kg.
If I remember my early education correctly, it is only ever used for weighing humans.
Here in Canada, we never used it in my lifetime, but still use lbs (0.454 kg) for human weight.

@UPAY4DINNER do the scales actually show weight in stone?
