Ketchup????? How dare you!!!

The actual burger sauce I intended to make does include Ketchup as well lol!

It's the other 2 ingredients that I'm less sure about....

Spoiler

Greek Yogurt, pickle juice along with tiny shavings of pickle

I sometimes like to use barbecue sauce as a substitute for ketchup whenever I find a recipe that calls for it. :f_grin:

But yes, I am curious about the special sauce you will come up with next time.

Can only be very happy with the above - showing some nice progress towards the end of March goal figures laid out here

15th being the exact middle of the month was a great time to weigh-in and update too.

Going by how anxious I was to get under the 15-stone mark I will not weigh in again until April 1st.

Time to get the Mrs to HIDE the scales on me lol!

Hopefully, by then I'll have reached sub 14 (at the rate I am going with the cycling and eating habits) I'd make myself a strong favourite..... then again... I've lost a poker hand being 99.9% on the flop before lol

You're setting yourself up for one heck of a prank, mate.

Well, like in poker, it's all about making good decisions, and adopting a healthier lifestyle is a good decision regardless of specific results.

Keep up the good work getting rid of those stones.

UPAY, if you want really VERY low calorie sauces, I recommend the "MammaMia" sauces from GymQueen (you can order them online).

If you need to get thinner, try a paint store

Excellent, thank you very much for the suggestion.

Not sure I'd make enough use of it at the moment but definitely something I will look into.

Going to up the ante again

240km
1.2K average daily calorie deficit
3,600 calories earned
5km speed run in less than 7 minutes - Usually high 7's although I've never properly tested it

Saint Patricks Day is this Friday so that means a day off work + a restaurant meal + less cycling.

This should make for a tough week

With reference to the above - I beat two PBs (Personal Best) today!

5km speed run in 06:59 (literally by a second)
Total distance cycled in a day = 60km

I had hoped to make it to 70+ but some life obstacles got in the way...

Oh well, can try next Wednesday instead - something to aim for

I have a housewarming this friday. Theme Patrick's Afterwork Bar. Gonna have the chance to drink plenty of Guinness :-)

Haha nice one mate - hope you enjoy it and responsibly of course.

On review, Guinness seems to be calorie friendly (in comparison to lager and ale!)

Might have one myself with dinner!

It's not my usual drink of choice - in fact my first ever pint of Guinness was consumed in Manhatton!

Supposedly, there is a town called Guinness in Maryland. If you go there, you could have a Manhattan in Guinness too.

My Mum was a nurse, and in the olden days, apparently, Guinness was given to people who needed a particular vitamin. Sorry, I no longer remember which one.
It was advertised thus:

Yes it was their slogan for many, many years. Long after tobacco was found out to be the fraud it became!

You will find that poster still hung in lots of pubs across the country both urban and rural!

Return to poker on the cards?

So I have toyed with the idea of returning to poker in a recreational fashion over the coming weeks/months.

I will be joining Primrose in the small STT SNGs.

I actually found T$1 in my Stars account and played 2 games already - unfortunately AQ into AK in the first and JJ < A2 in the other outside of the money brought me to bustoville!

I will deposit $50 in the coming days and set up some poker related goals and content!

I'm already using SNGWizard to get myself back in the game!

Last few days:

Friday 17th
Good day - despite the weather running the local parade.... it rained heavily from start to finish so it was a wash-out that pretty much destroyed the experience for participants and audience.

Afterwards, we dined out at our local restaurant with family (parents, brothers and wags)

Very nice meal, obviously not great for the low calories plan but fuck it - we have to live some days!

Two forum legends grinding it up in SNGs, all while sticking to a strict diet? This is going to be exciting! :f_love: I'm looking forward to follow the two of you and your progress.

That's exactly correct. It's only once a year, after all.

If you're doing that, why not spins?

I have personal thoughts on Spins that I would rather keep to myself - let's just say it's negative and I believe the game type that was meant for recreational players got taken over by non recs and thus destroyed
